    Taking Temps

I was interested in doing it just to see what my body is doing, anyway my temp was 36.7 this morning, my first recording and I'm due for AF in 4-5 days.

I have a 28 day cycle ... is this temp sounding 'normal' for this time of mth??

Just wanting to know what the general thing is, whats a normal temp range? does it drop or elevate when you O and then what??

What should temps do in a normal month when not TTC and what should the do when TTC and expect a BFP??

Sorry I'm learning heaps so hope the question isn't silly

    Hi stel00

When your temping its not the individual temps that count, its the overall pattern they make. For some people 36.7 could be high, for others it could be low. So theres no "normal" temp range.

When you look at a whole cycle you can see a pattern...
Around AF the temps should drop down (because of less progesterone and more estrogen), at ovulation it should dip a bit more (peak estrogen) and then it should rise because of less estrogen and more progesterone. If you are pregnant, they'll usually stay high or go higher, and if you're not, they'll drop down just before AF.

My charts are fairly 'textbook' patterns if you want to have a look... except that this one is going flat! lol

Thanks heaps Leasha0986, makes sense ... coolies so after a mth I should have a bit of an idea. And if it doesn't dip by Sunday I might do a HPT ... LOL

Yeah, about a month, you can see a pattern

I also forgot to mention that oral temps are usually lower then vaginal temps (mine are vaginal).
