    Le sigh.

    We've just got home now.

He's still running a fever, but it's down almost 2 degrees, and so they've said we can manage it at home with Panadol, Nurofen and lots of fluids, and only need to bring him back at 11am for a Paed consult.

We only need to bring him back in earlier if he stops holding down fluids.

He'll be much more comfortable at home - he fell asleep in the car and is now asleep in bed, as is DS2 (thanks to my sister, who drove over here in her PJs and minded him so he could stay in bed asleep!).

DS1 is on antibiotics sufficiently strong that they would eradicate a small army of collingwood supporters.

They think it's a bacterial infection of the lymph nodes. No idea how that comes about, but apparently an aggressive extended dose of antibiotics gets rid of it. They won't be certain for a couple more days, when the cultures come back, but they've done an ultrasound and some general bloodwork and some physical examinations, and that's what they think.

Off to bed for this little black duck. I am the tired.
