Nope doesnt make a diff if overdue.
Reason for asking was as can get ABO incompatibility but if other kids were fine its unlikely (to do with you and your DH blood groups).
If he was not sleepy and just was yellow I would have guessed maybe breastmilk Jaundice.
DD2 had levels of 124 on day 4 and was very yellow, we were allowed home but had to feed 3 hourly and have her in the sun.
with the bloodtest if its the one they do from the heel wont the blood coagulate (sp) as im sure it will take some time to get it to path?? DD coagulated in the time it took to do and getting it down stair to path in the hospital so had to be repeated
im using cloth & can tell there is no wee, even with the poo he has done the nappies are still dry.
Yeah she took blood from the heal & put it in a SBR tube. She had to go back to her car to get the kit to do it & said she had 1 other lady to see on her way back to hospital & would have results back to me via phone around 5. So just waiting for that call now.
Im not "worried" as such. I know Jaundice is fairly common. Not that Im not concerned as such but im not freaking out.
He is yellow though. She said above the belly button is ok, but its when its the whole body... She had trouble telling if he was entirely or not. But when I picked him up just now from a sleep to feed him I could tell around his legs looks yellow also.
I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply that you may not have been able to tell if his nappy had wee in itjust that for us it was such a small amount it was barely noticable... hope the levels come back on the lower side of the range
No no, don't be silly, I didn't take it in that way at all. Just saying that I can tell because its cloth not a sposie. Which I know is hard to tell LOL
no call yet.....
