    We subbed butter for nutellex here for all DD2's dairy free - we also used soy in some cakes.
    Oatmilk would prob be nicer as it would be sweeter

    I find using nuttelex & rice milk works fine with cakes. Don't do a lot of baking, mind you. good luck!

    It shows that i don't do a whole lot of baking, when DS is turning one and this is the first time i had to ask for a cake recipe minus dairy.

    Be careful with rice milk and oat milk, the different sugars can make the top crack a bit more.

    I second the nuttlex and rice milk. You could also do a banana bread - doesn't usually even have milk, just the nuttlex. Much more forgiving if you're cutting it into a shape. Good luck!
