I am learning to knit.....well if you could call it that, I went and visited my bestfreinds MIL and she taught me how to cast on and do a basic stitch and it took all day I am so uncordianated, but she said to find a pattern or take my longies over to her and she will make them for me.......yeah.
Yeah I'd love to know how small Bubblebubs go too!
I've got a some Monkey Doodlez, reckon they tend to size a little large, are pretty good, most comparable with Magicalls, except I don't have the diggy inny elastic problem with MD's. Pretty easy to boost if you need a bit more performance from them too.
For those who know Cat, she had her baby this morning!! Her sis came bouncing up to me at church today to tell me she had a little girl! I *think* the name is something like Seree. I think. Like Sherie kinda. Can't remember the middle name. Sorry! We were pretty late for church, so it was a quick conversation. :P
Si leaked a bit at church this morning...not pointing any fingers, but I didn't do the nappy change before, and I suspect the cover tightness might have been a bit suss...
I went to church this morning & found the young mum who I gave the cloth nappies too has had a rough trot with her husband having a fall off a cliff (yeah... off a huge cliff) DH said "thankfully you gave her some nappies so she doesn't have to run out anywhere... but I couldn't leave it there. I just felt for them too much & have made them enough food to survive a month I hope they take it.... I barely know them. I'll have to drop it & run and hope no one gets the plates off the car
WARNING!! Who bought the rainbow Llamajama Longies? I washed mine today & the red RUNS BIG TIME! I'm actually a little disappointed & wondering if I should contact the store because being longies I hand washed them as you do, rinsed them till no more red was running out then soaked them in the lanoline & when I got them out the water they were soaking in was dark red, so now of course overall the longies are not as vibrant in the other "rainbow" of colours.
FJ........I brought the rainbow ones too, mine should arrive tommorow. Maybe I should send them straight back and swap for some others??? I was so looking forward to them they are so cute.
mine still look ok, but the amount of colour that came out is rather concerning.
when I lanolise things I do more then one item at once & lucky I had other things to do that were somewhat red anyway but I would have died if I came home & found something I didn't want red in with it all.

PP brought 18mnths thinking now I should have gone 24mnths though.....but it should be okay and I have someone that is knitting me some anyway. I gave her my wool I brought and she is going to knit a stack of them. She is easily bored and said will occupy her mind so am doing her a favor...feel bad though she wont let me pay her.
FJ.....what would you reccommend I do with them, shoul I ask to swap for a plain colour, is there anything I can put in the water to stop running, I am sorry for all the questions I dont want to pay $50 and have them ruined.
Thanks girls, but I just can't imagine being 20 yrs old, having a 6 month old baby who is still breastfed & in clothies and a husband who has just spent 3 weeks in hospital with 3 major operations and is now unable to walk or sit for long periods of time. He's been home for 2 days... I wasn't able to handle that at 20. I just can't live knowing that something I can do simply could help her. I dunno, this girl has really stuck on me since I first saw her young 19, married and having a baby in a huge terry flat with no cover....
WOHB: sposie... I forgot to wash the nappies on time :P
