Hello, my name is NaNa and I'm an MCN addict... there! I said it! I feel much better now, and I hope all you lovely ladies will welcome me into the fold (flat pun intended!).
I feel strangely compelled to talk about stashes and fluffy mail, and it's driving my DP a bit mental. I think maybe this is the right place for me?

Maz - I NEED one of those Pot Of Gold covers!!

is it "succumbed"? i really really had to think hard about it!

our combined baby brains leads to some very interesting spellings! not to mention FAK one hand typing etc it's a wonder we get anythign typed at all really.

maybe one day, phonetic spelling will be all the go, and spelling will be not even taught at school.

is your Bertha fixed yet Maz? i thought once you got your very own "fancy schmancy embroidery/make you a coffee and give you compliments whizz bang machine", you would embroider your OWN mcn! or is it just the THRILL of getting your very own fluffy mail heh heh?

i just swapped for a 2nd hand blueberry trainer, i bought a medium 2nd hand blueberry trainer recently, and it's miles too big for a certain bilbylicious. I will feel like a goose if she trains in a week or something miraculous like that. but no signs yet. She's STOPPED patting the front of the nappy (to tell me she needs a change). Seems to NOT want a change no matter what these days. It's a fuss to get her onto the changetable to do the change.

I have her in fitteds only, at home, to be able to tell quicker, when change is needed. Never thought i'd do that, but it's working fine. i had envisaged much more mess (using fitteds without covers) but that hasn't happened (touch wood). It's prolly more of a worry to me, than other mums of two year olds, cos bilbs is still eating mainly pureed veg/fruit and breastmilk. and the ocassional scone/muffin and heaps of sultanas - sweet loving tart she is. Yesterday i got her to eat HALF a banana! first unpureed/raw fruit/veg to pass her lips for MONTHS. Sigh. i try EVERYTHING and ANYTHING every day with her. Sigh. We still heart the little squirt big time. hmmmm.

welcome to the nappy fold Nana! are you using flats? there is a great site called The Nappy Lady (uk site) with HEAPS of folds described/shown there. I flopped bigtime at flats, we lasted a total of ONE WEEK with flats! Lucky there are a variety of MCN styles to try, something to suit everyone.

Gigi its difficult when they are such picky eaters it makes you want to pull your hair out!!!!! We've had a good food day today - DS likes cheerios (cereal not sausages) so he has that for breakfast - which he eats mostly with his fingers - so last night he had them for dinner as well - without milk.. lol.... He's in love with dried apricots at the moment, and dried apple - have you tried her on those - they are pretty sweet too...

What was I going to say.. meh.. can't remember.. was something nappy related though.. truly..

Ahhh yes... toilet training comment - DS is now NOT scared of the potty and will sit on it.. with his nappy on. If you try to take the nappy off and sit him on it.. no go...

But I'm not in any hurry for him to TT...

    All is good again!!!

Up here the Dr likes to give you a copy of every result related to pg tests. Never had to seen a dr for follow up on an all good test before so she had me really worried over nothing!!

Gigi - I have tried Sarah in a fitted without a cover, and miss wee did leave a few drops around the house, but she ran into me to tell me she was wet as SOON as she was! I havent done it again since.

Mel - any food is good to be eaten, if he eats cheerios all day then he eats cheerios all day. You are doing your best.

NaNa - I am Ali, I am an MCN addict too. I found a way to indulge in my addiction cheaply too - sell them!!! That and B4B.

    WOEB: Pink Camo CT
WOSB: Same Peapod as before. She hangs on for AAAAAAGES and then floods. CC agreed with me on that one!!

So all good then Ali! ?
I have honestly had follow ups like that for everything (i think it is so they can get their $$ lol).

I am glad all was fine

i MEANT to say before Alioops, you poor pregnant thing, nb the Maggots Episode!!!

Living thru four months of "can't leave the house or stop clutching my stomach morning sickness", i cannot IMAGINE what that would have been like for you! and i didn''t have a toddler or two, nappies to deal with. I ahve NO clue how the rest of you manage morning (well all day really) sickness AND everything a mum has to do. You're all my Heroines!

Gudi - will try bilbs on the dried apple and apricots. I have bought dried apricots (in the shape of freaking teddybears would you believe it??) which bilbs tries then spits out. I have gotten the mixed sultana and dried fruit little boxes - she now picks out the teeny bits of pineapple etc. Loves those little red boxes, but i've learnt to give them to her only one third full. (she tips contents on floor, just to get at them).

i wonder how you are doing FJ?

Kazbah, did you take photos at the HEalesville Sanctuary? i'd love to see!

Christy! are you lurking hon? amidst the packing crates! GOOD LUCK WITH IT ALL!

Sammi - how are you travelling?

MAZ - last time i checked, the US S/B postal rates had gone thru the roof, like MASSIVELY much more expensive.

ali - good to hear all is ok. I never use a cover over my fitted while at home. I was getting leaks, but that was when they weren't absorbent enough.

nana- welcome to the wonderful world of mcn!

mel - Nina went through a phase of only eating 2 min noodles. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, it didn't matter what time of day it was, that's all she would eat. Didn't last long though.

I think it's safe to say Nina is tt now. She wore undies to bed last night (she insisted on it), she got up at 9.30 to do a wee, then slept for 11 hours after that, and woke up dry So now I've only got one bum for put mcn on.

FJ & Sammi - sending you lots of labour vibes

PP - my Dr bulk bills!!! SO glad too, coz there is no way I would be paying them to say everything is fine, when the sonographer told me everything was fine on Saturday!! Typical. Must be a QLD health thing, never had any dr call me back in for good results before in Adelaide.

Gigi - I am lucky it isn't too bad. It is worse than it was with either of the girls but thankfully MS in my family is not very strong. Only 1 or 2 upchucks per PG. just a little bit of nausea on an empty stomach. Strong smells dont agree with me either!! like my pantry when I am not feeling the best makes me want to be ill, but when I fine it just smells like non perishable food.

I am betting this bub will be a similar shape to the girls and suit wide crotches too, So what fitteds and covers should I get? I have 2 Cute Tooshies OSFA (they get really tiny when they are snapped right down!!!) and a BBH OSFM (not so tiny snapped all the way down) and I dont have any small covers. Sarah was 3580g at birth and Em was 3380g so I dont think I am in for a teeny tiny one, Sarah was only in 0000 for a week and Em was in them for 6 weeks coz she couldnt put any weight on, so i doubt this bubba will be super tiny for long!

Gi Gi Im still here. Nothing to report. I get the occasional tightening but nothing worth a second glance. I have an ultrasound tomorrow seems I am overdue & Im wondering if maybe that might spark things. Silly as it sounds, but Isla was born the evening of her "overdue" ultrasound. So kinda thinking that maybe it might be the same. But in saying that the midwife has me going for this u/s fairly early in the whole "overdue" thing. I then have a midwife appointment on Friday but hoping I can squeeze in tomorrow to save the double trip down the hill. Hmmm might ring now & see actually.

ali - Emily was 3635g, and after about 2 weeks she was able to wear bbb fitted with a small cover. Newborn covers never fit her. Didn't take long until she was in a medium cover though. She went straight into 000 clothes.
ETA: you have a fantastic dr! I've never had to go back to any of my dr's, only to find out the results were ok. Usually they just phone me to tell me.
