Beatrix - I could enclose the gazebo for you and your crew! But then there would be no room for the horse... hmmm...

maz - christmas wipes and more gorgeous-smelling soap that DP wants to eat. I'm tempted to let him, just to watch him blow bubbles!

WOHB: I have no idea! DP changed him before heading off to do volunteer work at the Homeless World Cup, and let me sleep in.

But if Gigi comes to Melbourne there's a self-contained flatette under my house, and we have 4 puters here (+2 work lappies) for 2 adults! 1 spare at all times!

Gigi - what the girls above said. You and Bilby deserve to be happy, and for sure Bilby picks up your emotions. And thanks for the email G

Kitten - woohooo soon for you! And apparently amber breastfeeding necklaces keep mastistis at bay!

Suse - photos woman, photos! Glad the teething necklace seems to be working, its hard to believe but I figure that the bubs are too young for it to have just a placebo effect.

Us - well we had a horror night. Pip woke around 11pm and screamed until 1am, think there was wind there. He won't eat, just drinks milk and water. Yesterday he was looking a little shocky IYKWIM but his temps and stuff are fine. He's still asleep. Changed his bum last night while he was in our bed for a while - from one snoozywun to another - cause I think he'd sweated through the first one. Poor little mite. If his virus is on par with ours, then it means its almost over - today I'm bringing up very productive phlegm and my head isn't pounding quite as much. Ahhh the joys of childbirth - need more mama pads

Anyhows, that's my ramble for a little while.
Have a great, safe day all.

Beatrix - yeah, bring em on! I'm game. I used to share a house with 5 kiwi rugby players (I was the only girl/cook/vegetarian/coherent speaker/person less than 100kg in the house), and running a commercial kitchen with a staff of 18 very naughty Sri Lankan boys has also given me a bit of experience in toddler taming, somehow! Oh, and when I used to cater for a childcare centre I learned very quickly to hide anything remotely tempting for littlies (and staff!) in empty cracker boxes in the fridge. Hiding stuff from guys is so much easier. Just put it in front of them.

maz, I wanna see him blow bubbles too. I wish now I hadn't told him it really was soap... ooh that's wicked!

kaz & pip, I hope you get over this yukky bug soon. Sounds dreadful...

Suse, hope you're nearly fully recovered from the birthday party! It's great that E's not reacting to the moo goo and he's all cleared up enough to wear fab faux fur nappies again! The teething necklaces are great, hey? I got a matching one for me and DS. I was pretty skeptical at first but it seems to be helping, so I'm not going to question it.

WOHB: same. Still dont know, coz he's still asleep! Oh no! Someone's switched my baby!! this can't be right...

Heck yeah Maz - I'll fly down to help you with Mat's birthday (I wish... *sigh*). But all the credit goes to my mum and aunty who organised most of the stuff - first birthdays are pretty easy though, we just had finger food, lolly bags for the parents to take home, and I brought a heap of toys from home for the bubbies to play with. And mum spent the day before blowing up balloons. Lots and lots of balloons. We were lucky though, the house my family were staying in (yep Gigi, it was a rental) was awesome, and it had a pool, so we all jumped in the pool later on.

Gigi hon, does DH know that you are at the point where you are feeling that you would be happier without him? Does he know what needs to change to make you feel like the relationship is worth pursuing. Or is this something that you are still processing internally. Even if it seems really bleak right now (and without going into too much detail on an open forum, believe me, I know what that feels like), trust can be rebuilt. Sometimes an event like the tax return problem can be a catalyst for change - it can make the relationship stronger because it forces both people to really evaluate what they need from the the relationship and how to achieve it. I'm suspecting that this is not an isolated event, that it's symptomatic of a larger pattern of behaviour that you're not happy with, but the question is, is it something that you think that your DH can, or will want to change given the opportunity? (Sorry, I've just read over that and I apologise if it's come across sounding all counsellor-ish). I just really really hope that you find your happiness sweet, because it really breaks my heart to see you unhappy, and know that I'm here if you need someone to talk to, or a virtual shoulder to lean on.

Someone asked about the teething necklaces at night - I take Euan's off before bed (and when he bathes), but he wears it for day sleeps. He goes to bed so late at night anyway that his sleep has still improved out of sight, but I have noticed that he is grumpier and experiencing more discomfort on awakening. He likes to chew his (and can get it in his mouth no problems), and because he mostly sleeps topless I can't tuck it away where he won't get to it.

Kaz - I'm working on piccies, I promise. I took 230 over the week that my family were up, and I'm now going through and sorting, editing, colour correcting etc, etc. Oh, and BTW, I like your new avvy and love the tagline. And I'm glad that there are signs of recovery and that Pip is being tempted with fruit.

There was someone else that asked me a question but I can't find it now. Sorry whoever it was. If it was important please beat me over the head with a wet nappy until I remember.

Oh, Gigi, you asked if he roared like a tiger at those who dubbed him the gayest baby in the village in his jungle prints? Of course he did!! Although it's mostly his dad who calls him that (and his mum too ). My mum vehemently and staunchly denies it, but then goes and plays Abba at him. Now what kind of influence is that???

Euan also had his needles today (and like Aiden is sleeping like a... well, a baby really), and is only 100gm heavier than last time he was weighed about 2 or 3 months ago. He's still 10.38kg, and is 79cm tall. I think he's lost weight since he's been walking. So he won't be out of his mediums any time soon LOL.

    Too true mate.

Gigi, does your dh realise how bad you're feeling? And that you're not feeling that bad because of YOUR issues, you're feeling bad because of RELATIONSHIP issues? Perhaps he'd rethink counselling if he realised how bad it is?

I'd better fly, I've got someone coming at 11 and I haven't showered yet.
