    **hides in embarrassment**

Rhyb - I still haven't sent your fluffy mail (I know, feel free to pop down and hit me over the goddamn head with the nappy).. the new position at work I'm in is busier than my old one, and i had to quickly pop out to buy the secret santa gift for our work party tomorrow - argghh.. too much stuff to do!!!!! Even though the work party is tomorrow, I will try to send it to you tomorrow ok? I'm sooooo very sorry, I'm usually sooo organised...

FJ - love your chaos mate... love it...

Think someone is going through the 4 month growth spurt cos she's a little unsettled - to say the least - not sleeping at all during the day (didn't worry me today since I wasn't with her!) but geeeez it makes it hard at night to get her to go down!!!!

    Anyhoo.. nuff about my crap..

    Now for something exciting...

wow, you all know what to say to cheer me up. Dh has just asked "what's so funny" cos i'm sitting, reading the Daily Digest of this thread, chuckling away. Very hard to explain why i was laffin! i just told him you all think (like me) that you can hide chocolate from men, by leaving it on the kitchen bench. that satisfied him.

i had no idea you could buy a laptop for $500. dh tells me they are like $2,000. but he is used to seeing the Good Stuff (huge screens, latest gizmos) at his work i must admit. i would be happy with 2nd hand, as long as it works. I am worried i have gotten SO used to his being Mr Computer Tech, i have become lazy, and rely too much on him getting everything to work.

it did cross my mind, if i wasn't with dh, i could move to another part of Australia. but then i worried about bilby, she woudln't get to have him be part of her life then. They love each other so much, i coudln't and wouldn't keep them apart. i feel enough of a heel for even thinking about them living NOT under the same roof.

it's a pretty drastic step, to move apart from dh, but he has't listened or taken seriously, ANY of the things i have said over last six years. i really feel the ONLY thing he woudl take notice of, would be if i leave. I have no desire to rob bilby of her daddy, there is no other man waiting in the wings, i just want dh to grow up and be responsible in financial matters. (like filing a tax return each year). and to be engaged since 2003 - but no actual marriage - i am sick of promises that are not kept.

skittlebub - bilby got a lovely amber teething necklace for her birthday, the instructions say to take it off for bath and bedtime. obviously if people on this thread are leaving it on 24/7, maybe the instructions are being cautious, so - up to the individual?

rhyb - dunno about minki knickers (although Maz once joked about minky g-strings LOL), but you Maz makes breastpads with minkee on one side. I wonder if anyone makes mamma pads with minky on the inner. Mama pads with cotton or bamboo velour are very lush to wear.

Suse - photoshopped or not, i would love to see pics of Euan's birthday party!

Pink - great to see you back with us hon! you was missed.

WOTBB: the usual, it's midnight, bilby is asleep. She climbed to the top of the sofa today, what a monkey she is turning into!
i put new pics of her on my gallery. you decide. is she the xmas fairy or the xmas little devil!!
    back again
so you don't hae to go searching!

GiGi, What you need to do is ask him to leave. OR you need to find the stength to tell him you want to leave. There is n o reason at all why Biilby can't still have her dad. Good on you for wanting to keep that relationship between them alive. its important.
I think it may possibly give him a kick up the butt to change. YOu need to realise you can cope just fine on your own & He needs to know you have realised this. Sounds to me like he has possibly made you feel you can't get by with out him & thats just crap. there is Sooooo much out there to support single mums.

Children are ALWAYS monsters Maz Just sometimes you get Elmo and othertimes you get Oscar the Grouch! Matilda told me that last week during Seseme street... she said "Mummy, sometimes we are like Elmo and sometimes we are like Oscar... and sometimes... we are like Cookie!"

Profound words from a child who doesn't seem to understand emotions at all... or how to read them.

BBL gotta get us going for swimming lessons

    Goooooood morning campers!

Gigi - I love the photos, she's a Xmas elf for sure
Hey, isn't there an Adelaide meet this weekend? (sorry, just popped into mind).
I think, as others have posted, Bilby will get the most out of both you and her dad if you're both happy. If that means going to counselling - great. If that means living seperately, that's OK too, she'll adapt and be happier for it in the long run.
But if you ever want a Melbourne holiday - my house is open to you!

Mel - you take care of yourself, specially if your new job is full-on. Work out your priorities at home - stuff that makes *you* feel good (for me it was keeping Pip in MCN!) and make sure you achieve it.
    *hugs* and stuff

Christy - that's so cute! mmm, swimming.

Maz - Hehehe, I bought some with quilters' cotton on one side & minky on the other, can't work out which side is to me!

Us - well Pip's happy but not eating much, but drinking OK. Seems like a lovely day though.

WoHB - zappy with white PUL cover.
