Kaz, enjoy the overalls. I so wanted them and was sure the auction was going to end in the afternoon but when I got home from an appointment I found an email saying I'd been outbid! Not nice

but I'm glad they're going to a good home. Oh well maybe I'll win next time.

Had DS's dedication today (Christening) and I got lots of compliments on his custom embroidered nappy (thanks, Kel). Also on his very cute Gonzo baby legs. It's kind of good to get nice comments but they just don't get it! Maybe I should actively try to convert my friends so I have someone to talk nappies so IRL.

Maz - Jed must either have something big that he wants. Maybe he wants a new car? Very jealous though, my 3 year old lappy is ready to join the dark ages it is that slow!! Still working on getting DH to buy me a new Eeepc teeny tiny one so he can have the old clunker.

Mel - People in QLD are more open to MCN than they are in Adelaide, I would be less worried about putting clean nappies on a table here that I would in Adelaide.

Kitten - bilby had up to 20 changes per day when she was a nb, so i sympathise! MANY, tiny poo events LOL. And yes, i'm not huge in the bust, but i do now have stretch marks there, that i didn't have before. Photoshop them out if they bug you in your dh's photos?

Kazbah - your washing machine location sounds the pits! How is your sore throat today? Is Pip still unwell? So cute, him getting the Widdlewuns for your dh.

Maz - that new photo of Miz Vy is just angelic=ly stunning. I cannot believe how long and lush and simply gorgy her hair is! to die for! so beautiful!

when i read your comments on the bling issue, i think of the song "Ego . . . is not a . . . dirty word". LOL. I get where you're coming from.

in the 2nd hand nappy market, i notice beetlebums sometimes DO sell for more 2nd hand, than they cost brand new! (i mean 2nd hand USED ones, not brand new , never or hardly used ones). when a brand is hot, it's hot. i think it boils down to the SUPPLY AND DEMAND rule of economics.

i have some good mcn, that was hot hot hot when i had bilby, but some of those brands have shut up their sites/stopped stocking mcn web malls, so are no longer well known, i doubt i will be able to sell them (despite the quality). things change alot in 18 months in the mcn world. People often go by brandnames that they hear, not what things actually are (quality, fabric composition). i think when some wahm's get to the end of their family, it's a differne thing to when they only had one or two. (for some, obviously not for you Maz, but you are an exception, we all know that, lovely!).

Winter - i coudln't use the MOtherease OSFA on my nb, it's a wide crotch style. Seems to suit MANY babies, but not mine. Even at two, she suits the narrow crotch style nappies. but she is in a minority though. It's hard to tell, until you have a bub to try them on! i always ask the crotch width cm of a nappy new to me now, and compare that to the crotch width that DOES suit my child. it's too hard to tell in the photos and many australian sites don't seem to mention whether a nappy is wide or narrow in the crotch (in general). I noticed US sites mention that alot more often (wish i could remember which ones). (so i spent ALOT of money, before i figured out the narrow.wide crotch aspect. e.g that it existed and what i should get my bilby, to get nappies she could actually wear in comfort.

Squidgy - welcome. See the first post of this thread, heaps of "stickies" there, click on the ones of interest to you (all about mcn).

ozclothnappies is another site that has a great FAQ link, great place to start reading up on mcn, esp when you are new to it. will help you with jargon, glossary, explaining the styles etc. just reading this thread, you'll pick up heaps, esp reviews of mcn people are buying and how it does or doesn't suit their particular bub.

well i have sorted all of my mcn into a colour spectrum now (the aio's, pockets etc) so they are easy to indentify to match an outfit. sad huh?!!!

kat how is next week for you? this week my house resembles .... armageddon? DD got a new bedroom suite on the weekend, which is half put together, so all of her stuff is ALL OVER the house. just found out i am anaemic too, hence why i dont give a stuff about tidying it too quickly!!!

Kat - oh no!!! dogs+nappies= scares the cr@p out of me! After seeing what my Jack Russell did to my shoes once, I hate to think what would happen to a nice MCN...

not much nappening here. Got the first poo in a nappy in three weeks last night, and of course it had to be a monstrous stinker Poo From Hell not even 5 minutes after putting on the last clean, dry night nappy in the house. Bahhhh it was disgusting. Just couldn't get the cover and nappy off quick enough and get to the potty in time, and DS was SOOO upset. Actually, so was I. eww...

LOL nana...she has also pulled the load off the line this morning of towels!!!! she knew as soon as i looked at her to run....
poos in NN...yep as i was feeding Jack last night he then decided to poo in his NN....LOTS of grunting/noise and it was the teeniest poo....
