Ugh - we had a massive leak from an itti on the way home today - took of all Punk's clothes when we got home (because she was wet & it was hot) & when I came back with a new nappy she had peed & pooed on the floor!!! Was playing in it too of course... *sigh* at least she had the decency to do it in the sunroom, ie; cement floor.

Not getting the Aldi overlocker anymore, apart from not being able to even afford $199 at the moment, by all accounts they are a crud machine & you would end up paying more in repairs or a replacement!!

When I dropped the girls off this morning I made a point of letting the carer know that the wipes are NOT liners, so we shall see if she has left them in the nappies again. I actually pulled one out and showed her that it is a wipe.

Has anyone tried the ecostore baby wash and shampoo? I saw them in Woolies today and decided to trial them considering everything we have left is J&J rubbish.

Squid - you don't need to soak anything babe - just give em a wash or two (to get the absorbency up on the inserts)

Spunkybutts are good (and I know someone who sells them - hint hint.. haha!!)

Peapods got far too many bad reviews in my research so I never got any. I stuck to brands with more good reviews than bad.

Ones in department stores are generally not good - not that absorbent, crap material, fall apart, don't breath properly, need to be soaked etc etc etc. Too much hard work and bother for me!!

I'd rather spend the money on something that works - and if it doesn't work for MY child, then I'd like to be able to sell it on to another person for a fair percentage of the money that I spent on it. Well known brands you can do that. Big W and K-Mart - not on your nelly!

i love spunky butts - the 3 pack gelato fitteds are really great.

peapods - i got one and used it twice, will never bother with it again...........

also whats the diff between fitted osfa and aio fitted? i know ya thinking im so blonde here but i just wannt to be sure before forking out cash i desperately need. Also how many do i need? for a 6 month old???

Squid - to answer your questions:-
Whats the diff between fitted osfa and aio fitted?

A fitted OSFA - is a fitted nappy (therefore needing a cover) and fits from newborn - toddler (approximately)

AIO - isn't a fitted. Is an all-in-one - meaning no cover needed - is like a disposable and you just whack it on - then wash it once soiled.

I didn't buy "crap" ones so to speak - I brought ones that didn't work for my child, so there is a difference. I researched HEAPS before I went into it so I didn't buy any crap ones.

Normally - the good ones are $25 - $35 for an AIO, $25 - $31 for a pocket, and $15 - $28 for a fitted.
