OMG! It's gorgeous!!!!! Kitt3n, thank you so much for thinking of me. You are truly a wonderful friend. There's one slight problem being that it's only a small and I need a mediumOh I'm so sad. I can't wait til widdlewuns make bigger nappies. I cannot thank you enough though. You are truly wonderful.
xx
WOTB: BBB with 2up!

BG - I am confused. MSN?
Ladies I have a very strange request.
Can someone, or some of you, please take photos of the "inside" of your favourite nappies. Only Aussie made ones though please! I'm being picky and particular with the purchase of some new nappies and DF wants to see what all the fuss is about with boosters etc.
As much as I try to explain MCN to him, I don't think he will ever understand.
Only a few of the websites actually show you in images what the insides look like, not sure why?
Gogo Mel - Do you have MSN? If you do please add me with the little blue guy in the top corner of my post.
Ali - did that work?
Cheeky MOnkey
i wondered why so many sites didn't show you the inside of the nappies too.
after two years of looking and asking why, these are some of the explanations i got:
- some website designs (esp entry level, e.g cheaper ones) only allow ONE picture per listing, so the WAHM is limited to what she can show - by cost
- some WAHM's are concerned about copying
- some don't show it on the site, but i have emailed them, and they have been happy to expand in emails, show me photos, talk me thru how their particular boosting system works
it IS worth finding out about the nappy insides
on sites where you might only be shown a pic of the back view of the nappy, i email to ask, "what sort of closure is it"? if you can't see any snaps, or aplix, how would you know?
the kind of things, where if you saw it IRL, picked it up and turned around, you would answer your own questions in two secs - but wihtout multiple good pics, you can be unsure about. i won't spend money on things i am unsure about.
if you know your kid needs minimum layers of absorbency for their nappy, and the listing you look at is vague about how many layers of absorbency is in that nappy, i cannot pay $X to find out by using it on my child, to find out if the nappy has enough layers or not. i need to know before i press ADD TO CART.
so email and press CONTACT US, easier to do your research BEFORE the stockings, have it clear in your own mind what you DO and DON"T want, keep that list, so when they ARE available, you are not dithering, you are clear.
We tried a Blueberry pocket SS once, lovely mcn, but too wide for bilbs.
Queen - i cannot work out what Punky is up to in your photo, too small for me to see. i wish i looked like bilbs! so much fun shopping for her clothes (even though, i mostly window shop), i have no desire to buy clothes for me anymore.
but my "small and short" two year old, has such a large head, i bought a hooded beach towel for her, for children - her HEAD won't fit thru the hole!!! but she fits into a size 1 target dress! What the , . . . . .
She is so in love with doing "bee bees" on the big toilet with the insert in.
i cannot believe it seems to be happening!
and i havne't done the "week going nude, stay home" thing that so many people mention".
Pity is i don't think she can repeat her progress at childcare. they don't have a step for the toilet, they don't have an insert for the toilet. Without those aids, she can't manage. She can't make her clothes (jeans, knickers) go up and down, and with the ratio being one to 10 kids, i doubt she'll get the help.
tt-ing is all about consistency i keep reading, poor kid, she sure is not getting consistency. i thought about buying CCC a step ($15) and an insert, but as they're such mobile items, i guess the bigger kids will just run off with them, and they won't be available when bilbs needs them.
all ccc has is two narrow potties (which bilby doesn't feel safe on balance wise, so she won't use them). they have two "lower to the ground than usual" toilets, but as bilbs is so darn short, still too tall for her to get onto (without a step).
i don't want her to get all enthused at home, then get deflated at CCC.
After that "bringing up baby docu" on abc last night, and the Routine Lady who advocates leaving nbs, outside in the garden for four hours UNATTENDED, i felt so protective of bilbs, after she was ready at 8am, all ready for childcare, she didn't want her breakfast and fell asleep again at 8.30am, so i let her, and she wanted to sleep until 11.30 -then wanted to do toilet stuff and have her lunch. So i waited for all that to be done, before taking her to CC at 1pm. {Wearing trainers in the car - FIRST TIME - no accidents}.
We normally get there at 10am. So i ignored all the pointed comments about "she's not used to being here at this time of day" - i felt i listened to her needs, went with them and that felt right for me.
After explaining that bilby had just slept three hours and only woken up at 11.30am, after getting all ready to come to CC at 8am, her primary care giver then looked me in the eye and asked "all the other kids are sleeping, should i put her down for a nap?". This is my child, who NEVER has day naps - i've just finished saying she's had a three hour nap just recently. I feel like bilby might as well be a complete stranger to her primary care worker. 1:10 is just too much (IMO) i don't think the workers can cope with that many kids.
i guess i should rationalise our mcn now. dreading it, all the photographing, describing, agonising over pricing etc, it will be a big task.
she needs nappies for outings, nappies to poo in at home, night nappies, childcare nappies when they don't have her in knickers.
NaNa - for toilet training a non-mobile child, friends of mine who EC non-mobile bubs really like side snap trainers. So that when the poo accident happens, it's easier to lie child down and deal with nappy.
Ali - i would love to see a photo of the purple beetle bling! Leah is going to ahve the most gorgy clothy bott!

Anna, that's exactly why the side snapping nappies are so good! You can adjust the waist and leg snaps independently to suit you baby's build. That is why, unfortunately, nappies with a single row of snaps don't suit us. My children's legs are too chubby so either the legs are too tight or the waist is too loose.
I'm on a self-imposed buying ban til next month. Must not listen to any of you girls, you are all bad for me.
Maz - Why thank you hun, you're not too bad yourself!
Gigi - I discovered it's her skirt!! Makes sense one you KNOW haha, I thought she was holding a garbage bag!! I know what you mean about shopping for bub - I love love love shopping for Punk.
I should have come in here earlier!! (Or maybe it's good that I did nae) Iishfly you say....?!
cheeky monkey, where abouts are you hun? you dont have the PM feature yet, but look I am in sydney, if youwant to come and see lots of aussie made/owned IRL you are more than welcome to pop by
reminds me - ll80 have you checke out the spunkybutts 3 packs? you use a snappi for a reat fit
bg - been thinking about this widdlewun nappy all night, I feel bad now knowing you want it. I just want to check out the sizing, if it seems small i'll pass it on to you straight away - no point wasting it if its a smaller cut when your little gremlin will get more use out of it.
WOHB - swaddlebees OV "AIO" pocket (husband nappy)
no drama hun - just let me know!
Ali - i ordered the sparkly iishfly, and didn't check how many she had in stock. went back in after you said you'd ordered and it was gone from listing so maybe she had a couple?? it definitely shows in my email receipt and on my order summary on her site so i'm hoping thats what happened!
