Charmlea - have you checked out theclothpadshop? there is one brand there, doing "starter sets" - i think it has "Happy" in the brand name.

i could talk to you all day about mama pads! have tried quite a few types and brands, i'm very impressed with them. Just like with MCN, i think it takes a bit of time, to work out what suits you, what suits the climate you live in, which width pads suit the type of underwear you wear, etc, etc. The length is another thing you need to work out. and just like mcn, there are Night mama pad products. similar fabrics are used (to mcn), so using them gives you a new appreciation, for what you are putting on your baby's skin.

Obsidian Star has the whole "mama pads 101" info thing going on - i can't think of any aspects/questions you might have, that she doesn't cover. (separate site to her retail stuff).

Maz - isn't Mat highly susceptible to nappy rash? i couldn't use anythign but "just water" with the cloth wipes, since bilby had her Nappy Rash from Hell outbreak in Jan 08. So if he starts to rash again, i would be casting nasturiums at the foamy wipes mix. (end of cautionary tale, said to benefit M's butt comfort now and in the future).

wotbb: she fell asleep in a bluberry trainer, so this is how we start "night training" unofficially i guess! it's the Tiger Stripey one, she calls it "more rah".

If you want to put your young bub in organic baby clothes, Sahara bloom is having a good sale on tiny bub's clothes, made out of bamboo fabric. Like kimono style onesies.

i got some lovely bamboo fabric summer pj's (on sale) at minieco. it's like super soft t-shirt fabric.

Maz - if you've still got any material, I'd say either the "green world" material (the black with the words on it!) or a bright yellow minky? Or the white material with the dragonflies & turtles on it? That's sorta newborn unisex

Gigi - ahhh your little girl has taste indeed!

Us - well, we're going down past Foster today to look at a property, 120 acres, see what it looks like. And taking the bikes for a ride along the great southern rail trail.

WoHB - a (i'm assuming) very sodden snoozywun ;D Soon to be BBB with PUL cover.

Maz- recently when i bought sposies . i hunted around for the "best value " i ended up seeing snugglers on spesh at the chemits wharehouse $16 for 74 , but they were sold out .... so i went to to another Discount chemist (called "low price" or something ) and they had the same pack for $29.99 ...... i asked them to price match .. so they did and took 10%off !!! so in the end it was about $15 for 74 ... it was my way to kinda justify buying some ... the pack will last aaaages ... i usually use them when its full on rain for a few days , coz my dryer cant keep up withit and i dont have a clothes horse ...

anyway .. got my some fluff yesterday ... but not my Lou lou that i think about often .. hope it comes tuesday ....

ive been looking for a place to stalk too ... but im not sure who to buy from ... im looking for clothing now ... cute hand made stuff ... but winter clothes on are hard to find no??

MAZ - if Mat's skin CAN tolerate Foamy Wash stuff, that's ok, more power to him, i just wanted to mention it, JUST IN CASE.

The Easter Bilby is bringing bilbs a special bilby story book, maybe i should hide it behind a bush in a park, and let bilbs find it on her own.

the blueberry trainer held all it needed to last night, that was our "test case", so nice to know it was enough absorbency. she was in my bed, feeding, this morning, so her sheets and my sheets - all dry. that's me convinced.

i had another mum, of a child similar age to bilbs, tell me, that bilbs WASN"T day trained, cos i carry a potty in the car boot! bilbs has no sense of time, if i tell her, we're nearly at our destination, in a few mins you'll have access to a toilet - she doesn't understand how long she'll have to hold on for. I've decided to, in these situation, stop the car, put her on the potty (in the carboot) and let her do what she needs to do. It means no accidents and for me, i'm just very proud of her, for letting me know WHEN she needs to go, and she goes quite promptly, as soon as i put her on the potty (car) or loo (in houses, shopping centres, etc).

maybe there is a touch of the green-eyed monster, this other mum is changing nappies (sposies) for 3 under 3. Her kids have been more advanced than bilby, in every area so far, this (trainign) is the first time, bilby has done something first. I have not rubbed it in her face, but she hears me asking bilby "is it wee wee time?" and that's how it came out.

I had little Miss in her 1st Maz night nap but i think i over estimated the size of her Butt... I brought a large and i had to double the snaps... (glad Maz adds those ones.) It held up on but she leaked around the legs does this mean its too big??? It looked ok but noticed once she had soaked it it had a gap where the boosters sit round near the legs... Will try a cover tonight like u suggested Maz... Need to buy more covers... I added pics to my FB of DD in her Nappy... she loved it... Cant wait til next week to get the other 4 i ordered... DP actually likes them and now i have friends asking where they can buy some...
