I have no idea about star signs, all I know is the likely dates. So if they are Gemini dates then most likely.

Eej - I use whatever booster I can find at the time, usually a bumg one or a GK bamboo one. Might have to sew up a decent booster made to fit it specifically if my stupid sewing machine will work properly.

Rhoda - the TotsBots are fairly narrow, both PUL and fleece ones. I used them for Charlotte, and they were great on her (we can only use narrow crotch nappies too)

WOHB: d'lish....soon to be side snapping sandman

bilby got her Elephant with Floppy Ears backpack from FluffyLime site - she was so proudly marching around home in it!

NaNa - we had a similar experience with the swaddlebees sized pockets - they fitted longer than the weight range in the mediums said.

great to hear positive feedback about the ecobubs, i've been thinking of those foer my friend. Today i got to try some mcn on her bub for the first time. Found out bub WAS 6kg, TWO MONTHS AGO!!! so all my research, for 6kg fitting nappies went out the window!! she fitted into a large itti bitti boo, the cushie tushie coutures (my friend just bought two 2nd hand) gave horizontal pulling marks in the nappy, this bub has a big roll of fat on her thighs, the whizz kidz OSFA fitted her fine (side snapper), and she was on the middle snaps of a medium swaddlebees pocket, ok in cute tooshies but the usual problem of being "inbetween" the snap pairs.

i find it scary, my friend is all ready to buy nappies on my say so, and i really want them to work on her child, which you never know, until you try it out. So i'm guessing this bub is more like 8kg, back to drawing board of finding minky, snaps pockets/ai2's/aio that suit 8kg bub, veering more towards sidesnaps methinks. i had a list of front snappers for her, trying to have an open mind.

anyone got a chubby thighed baby in a minky magicall?
this bub's stats are 43cm waist, 29cm around the top of thighs, 34cm rise (nakid).

MAZ - glad you are home again, hoping you are feeling much better.

ALIOOPS - i must have a really big neck, or be claustrophobic, those amber necklaces are only 33cm diameter, and that on me is a choker, same as bilby's necklace. i thought the adult ones would be bigger - put me off getting one. I must have an enormous neck. pity, i really would like an amber necklace.

great to hear your "labour with amber necklace" story, shellsbells.

KATIERABBIT - that's the thing aobut urls, you get ONE insignificant bit slightly different, and you don't find the site. glad you found it in the end. very cute about your DD having her preferences already!

my friend TT=d her toddler boy (three day e-book method) and it worked, anyway, part of it is FARWELLING the nappies and WELCOMING the undies. made me realise, i never got bilby to farewell HER nappies (boy did she get jealous, when the baby tried on bilby's nappies today!!), i just moved them out of her room, and now the cloth trainers are in her room. She's been distracted by her RAH day trainers (imse vimse) and the minky night trainers (blueberries), so i think her liking those, has made her NOT complain about missing her nappies. (Yeh, i have made up for her, all my complaining and moaning on here, about ME missing the mcn!!!) sorry girls! i'll get over myself
    ONE DAY!

Just a question about night nappies -

When did you start using them? At the moment I only change River maybe twice because he sleeps pretty well (and some nights Im a tad lazy and only change him if its bothering him). Some nights he hardly wets at all. I use liners for poo so that can be taken out and a non-wet nappy still used. When can I think about a night nappy for him? He is nearing 6kg in weight already. Do they even make night nappies that small?

    Morning morning

Anna - I started using them when she was sleeping for like, 8 hours or something, like after her 10pm feed and sleeping till 6. Cos she would leak in anything else. I think medium snoozy's go from 7kg. She's 9kg now and in a medium snoozy, and a medium GNST. (which incidentally, her brother can also fit in to!)

Maz - hope your bum is getting better. put some minky on it. Minky makes everything all better.

Hope I get some nappies today.. teeheehee.. feels like its been so long between my fluffy fixes.... can't wait to get them!!!!

Not much else happening. Have to change bums.

Gigi- i got DD an amber necklaces 33cm then it worked so well i got a mum and bubs set from amberbebe and asked for bigger sizes... i ended up getting 2 mum sized ones for $60 but made them 46cm each and there was no extra charge either. If u contact Meredith from amberbebe she can sort out sizes etc.

Mel u get to order fluff by the bulk lot... i would LOVE to buy stick... sounds like FUN... Hope u get ur personal fluff fix though...

Maz hun sorry to hear bout ur rear... sounds painful u poor thing... sending lots of hugs and get wells ur way...

Narrow crutch seems to be a fav with DD... think its from the extra freedom when walking... off to loot at totbots...

LOVE my eco's while there being mentioned... DD is in a medium on the tightest snaps and is almost 1... but how do i avoid pilling??? its gone fluffy....

Got the roster for the expo - looks like i'll be there all day Saturday - tired just thinking about it! Wore me out last year and i wasn't 30wks prg then Also, doesn't give me much time to look around at other stuff. Might have to take an hour break or something if it's getting a bit too much for this fat lady.

Does anyone know who's going to be there besides NN, BBH and IB?

I wouldn't mind getting some more nappies if I can but don't need any more ittis or BumG. Jayne only had BumGs for sale last year but I think she's offering a wider range this year.

**ETA: Just checked Jayne's original email and she's selling tots bots (they're fitteds aren't they??) and CGR design - never heard of them but they're embroidered and that's what I want. Anyone tell me if they're any good?? Will go google now.

Oh oh....just had a look at them....I think my bank balance is in trouble!!!

Must say...im impressed withmy fella...he's jsut folded all the nappies and donea great job

My friend's little boy has a similar size thigh and wears the CT's fine. If bu has a skinny waist do the 1st snap on the wing loose enough for the thigh and then skip a snap for the waist, so that it has a little fold under the wing.

ALIOOPS - i must have a really big neck, or be claustrophobic, those amber necklaces are only 33cm diameter, and that on me is a choker, same as bilby's necklace. i thought the adult ones would be bigger - put me off getting one. Linda has some 44cm ones. They are a custom slot on her site. if you need a link let me know

CT will be there (eej is working in the stall) ummm not sure who else.

The bigger girls are now sharing a bedroom, as of last night!! Em has the cot in there for a few weeks, while they get used to each other and then we will put her in the big bed and set up the cot for sidecar next to our bed, so I can avoid having to get out of bed to feed Leah. I am a bed hog and there isn't much room in our bed for DH let alone DH and a NB bed hog. We managed to all get a decent sleep with the bedroom sharing so lets hope there are no speed bumps in the process!! They are both in there supposed to be sleeping now, and Sarah has called out both times Em removed her nappy. They are still chatting though.

Anna - I reckon a Medium LL would fit him. I have a medium here for Leah and I reckon it will fit pretty early on, Maz uses plenty of elastic to allow for better weight ranges!!

Well my nappies have escaped their first big explodapoo Zander is in disposables o/n still - I took it off an usually let him "air" a bit before rewrapping - well he um poo'd all over his mat - which was disgusting but ok - it was a 5 day build up one (stinky) - but I kept saying good boy not dirty his new nappies

Well, my two IB's d'lish turned up today - purple and red with white spots - they fit so well on him.

I know someone else has just posted asking about night nappies, so I will wait and see what the verdict is .....

    in love. lots of it.

so, Gigi, are you saying I SHOULD buy more swaddlebees in medium?? I think that's what you're saying... surreptitious enabling... I like that. heheheh!

Jess - Aadi is always pulling off velcro-fastening nappies if I don't put pants on him quickly. I even went thru a phase of having to put them on him backwards because 1. he wouldn't stay on the change table on his back and 2. he would rip them off immediately and pee on the nearest pillow/carpet/non-washable surface!! He still rips at the velcro as soon as I put a BumG on him, and I have to do them up half a dozen times before getting his pants back on. Same with some front-snapping nappies too. Tricky little monster! Covers and side-snaps are good options. Or pants. Sadly it's too cold to show off nappies here most of the year, so pants are it!

night nappies... what was the question?? um, yeah, BBB fully boosted are good until bubs is sleeping longer and wetting more. In our case, DS fit into a large Sandman, medium/large Wild Child NN, and a medium GNST by this stage, but he's a biggun! However they all come in smaller sizes too. Then there's KKs, LLs, GFs... any other acronym you care to mention!

maz's-got-a-saurus -hope you're feeling better soon luv! owies... get some minky on your toosh. How nice of Jed - I think if DP ever folded nappies I'd faint.

WOAB: orange terry flat & maz-a-licious custom cover. No, it's not colour co-ordinated, and it feels so wrong!

I feel so much like an intruder in this thread.

I haven't been using cloth long enough to offer advice, but I'm no longer buying so can't share my happiness over fluffy mail.

I feel like my posts here are wasting your time reading them, and don't belong because they're not really nappy related much. lol

I do have nappy news today though as I did a sneaky purchase I hope DF doesn't notice - my CT bumble bee second arrived. Ali - would I be a bad friend if I asked for you to work your snappy magic on it before I've even met you IRL?

Umm... nothing else nappy related? Oh yes there is. I'm calling around to child care places as thinking of putting DS in for one day a week. It's actually hard finding ones that are happy to use MCN. One lady was very excited about the idea, the rest all ummed and ahhed and said no. Can the townsville ladies please PM me the details of MCN friendly places they know of?

MY WEDDING DRESS ARRIVED! Sorry for the caps, but I'm excited. I tried it on twice in 12hrs - would have put it on more if DF wasn't home to peek at me.

WOPB: Black BBH which I'm crossing my fingers doesn't leak as he fell asleep in the car before I could change him.

Yeah no problem CM Let me know when you want to bring it round. I have Physio tomorrow at 1 but pretty much if I am not at the hospital these days I am at home My girls were at Bo Peep in North Ward, but are moving to FDC. Bo Peep will do them if you provide the bucket and they do like flushable liners but not essential. My point to them was that I use them at home so I am not going to buy a packet of sposies every few weeks when I have a pile of nappies at home they can use.
