Anna- I'm south west sydney too... Hoxton Park (near liverpool) If u need anything let me know... happy to help out if i can... {{HUGS}} Even if its just to meet up for a chat.
Well i think i have converted another friend to cloth... (she uses the terry flats but is now asking for recommendations for night nappies etc) Taking so long to get everything dry... think its time to bring out the gas heater (worried about DD with it though) Hopefully the heater on at night will be enough to get them dry...
just a quickie girls.....Jack is on a lot of anti-biotics....anything i should be aware of with his cloth nappies????
Hey Kat, long time no post. Hope Jack is ok. We got koff and snot and sneeze in melb but no anitbiotics for us, so cant help you on the nappy front but wishing him a speedy recovery.
I had a look at the brissy baby expo trade stand guide and there is a company there called the green nappy company, or something like that. Does anyone know of this one?
What day/s are you all thinking of going to the expo?
Hmmm I had a morph scan with Ruby at 32 weeks  Maybe Mel is closer than we think!
Anna I hope you get a house quickly :crossfingers:
renstar I'm having a mental block at the price of the ittis at last years expo but I remember it was 7 for the price of 6. I'll see if I can dig up a receipt to check. Also make sure you try to get a free pass printed up so you don't blow your savings on the admission fee ;)
Well Pip's back in f/time cloth again - we've both been off sick Wed - Fri and TBH, as standing's been making me dizzy. But yesterday / today, back in cloth.
Anna - good luck with house-hunting, and don't feel badly about sposies, it happens. Just make the best choice for sposies that you can and be comfortable that a month of sposies will be worth it all for you and the kids.
Mel - hope all's going well!
Has anyone heard from Ali today? Yesterday she said that she was having contractions but nothing today?
All the best ladies :D
WoHB - snoozywuns
MLM - Im going to the expo on Saturday. I've never heard of the green nappy co before though.

Bilby is now boycotting the toilet insert, toilet inserts are for BABIES obviously, and she is a Big Person, according to her. She is still perched precariously on the loo seat, feet on a bigger step stool, but SCREAMS if i put the toilet insert on the loo (which she really needs but REFUSES to use).
She labels each wee or poo as "baby bee" (little wee), "mummy bee" (medium sized wee) or "daddy bee" (enormous wee). and now she does funny faces (just worked out how to manipulate her eyebrows and eyeballs) whilst on the loo. Loo time is a hoot at our place.
pmsl at loo time at your place gigi - sounds like bilby is a very independent little girl
TT has taken a big backwards slide with Ari refusing to go and screaming if I put her anywhere near a toilet - so we are going to back off for a while and she if she initiates anything herself in the next few days.
Thought there may be Ali news in here ... but no word yet????
Nothing from Ali here so Im guessing she's either in labour, just had her.............. or just sleeping in lol
I thought Ali said she wasn't logging in again til after the birth?
Having trouble getting my inserts to dry, so
WOXB - terry with a bumg pocket for a cover
PMSL!!!! I took a day offline yesterday to make sure I had some time with my bigger 2 before Leah arrives, and time with my Dad too because he arrived last night, so spent some time with my family before I go spend a few days in hospital. Anna, CM, Gigi and Sarah, your mobile numbers are in my phone, you will know pretty much right away. Just make sure Danni gets to do the BA ;)
Mum accidentally gave Em Sarah's milk the other day. So we have reaction poo, and now we have hydrocortizone going on her. Good thing it rubs in fully and doesn't affect the nappies.
Nearly finished that soaker, just about 5cm to go before I get to the back ribbing, and I decided I am going to do some ribbing around the leg holes so they can be a bit bigger and still give leg seal.
WOEB: Black CT Basix (old style)
We are all dying to hear that you've had that little lady thats been causin you so much trouble Ali!!!! And to see pics of newborn fluffy goodness!!!
Grizzly bub here - she only had one sleep today, and really still needs two to be the happy cheery lovely little bub we all adore. Trying to convince her that her vegies need to be eaten - not thrown ;)
WOAB: ummm dunno.. something that DH put on.
WOMB: just a flat. She's eating and it gets messy so didn't want to spoil a good nappy or a cover.. haha!
Man its been quiet in here lately!
Ali I hope she gets a wriggle on and you don't need to be induced. How exciting tho tomorrow she will be here! Can't wait to see the BA and pics!
Maz where are you? Not been in here for ages?
Gigi- how funny is Bilby!
I got my CT basix on friday! The yellow is a lovely colour. I got some of the wipes solution too. Love it!
Nothing else to report!
Ali it is so exciting that tomorrow is the day! Can't wait to see your BA.
I am thinking of trialling a few eco bubs for night nappies / longer sleeps. Any thoughts? I might also get another GK for the same thing.
WOXB - HH Sherpa & Cover
Nawww look at your ticker pic Candice!!! Sooooo cute!!!!!
Nothing nappy related - just saw that ticker.. cute cute.
Oh, but we use green kids on DS of a night time, not sure how they would go on a smaller bub though.
TK I did mine in warm I think
Oh can someone tell me about funked up ittis? What is the diff?
TK prewash in warm to hot (60 degrees max) to get maximum shrinkage etc....
Funked up ittis are PUL ittis made wih fancy printed PUL rather than minky ittis which are called delish......
Thanks eej & melbel - I just checked my washing machine and I can choose between hot or cold... how do I know what the temperature of the hot water will be?
We are getting a new machine sometime before bub's arrival - should I wait until then and look for a temp feature???
Check your hot water heater TK that's what determines how hot your water will be.
Thanks melbel
Follow up question on the prewashes, I can't get hot water in my machine - the hose is not working... Will that make a big difference? Also do I need to do many prewashes on my covers and pockets with out the inserts? Or do I just do a lot of washes on my inserts and boosters?
Thanks for all your lovely help!
Not having Hot water won't make a huge diff...may just take a wash or two longer to reach full absorbancy with cold water.......
OMG. I just won an ozebaby auction for 6 d'lish pack for $150!!! woohooo!
Thought it would go higher than that, they cost $155 - $165 for sewn in or snap in choices ... which should I get, sewn or snap?
:bounce:
Ummm should get to work now. But glad I checked my email! This will make CC easier by far!
WoHB - a (very wet!) snoozywun on my snoozybub
Kaz that is SOO awesome im jealous much!
Everyone else HI! thought i better get a post in before we start a new thread without me posting once in this one....jeez you ladies talk alot!
haven't back read and prob won't so if i've missed anything please fill me in!
i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired its not funny....Tallon is either Teething, growing or constipated and has been up screaming all night and i mean ALL night! i gave him to DH sometime after 3am and didn't sleep properly until 7am wich i then got up and took over again whilst DH went back to bed b4 work! grrrgrrr
on the upside I GOT FLUFFY MAIL!!!!!!!!!!
One was a big FREE box of handme downs of NC so am sorting through them and may be passing on any that don't fit/dont want...
But the the important thing is my B4B finally arrived (i'd put the wrong BSB number in:doh: ) But before id o my prewash on of the snaps is a little chipped on the outside...should i send it back or will it be fine? its the in bit that is clips into and its only the very outer there's just a little chunk missing i can't see it affecting the snap but should i just to be safe?
WOTB = B4B sesame street pocket
Smoz - I have a Haute that has a bit chipped off one of the snaps but it doesn't stop it from working, give it a go anyway.
Kaz - well done!! I had my eye on the flattery set - sooo cute!!!!! The envoys were pretty cute too.
Not much going on here - have to take DS to the eye specialist today to see about his eye that turns in, so that should be interesting!!!! Better go pack a bag and change their nappies I suppose!!!!
WOAB: IB
WOMB: Pink widdlewuns
I put a BBH magicall on X last night at 12, and forgot to change it when she woke at 3 . So at 6 am this morning I had to change sheets and blankets and clothes and nappies.... bugger!
WOXB - HH
ooh no good oscar oscar i hate it when that happens (DH did it last week. pu tTallon to bed in a PP without a cover (and these need covers) and its only a day nappy and put Theo to bed in undies when he still needs a night nappy so i woke up with two beds and boys to bath and change)
Might of missed it but how many times to i have to prewash? and do i need to do them seperately or can i throw them in with my dirty nappies?
PS i've attached my facebook Fluff album in my sig (not sure if im allowed so please letme know if im not) but yes check it out! (if you can't see just send the friend request through and say your frolm BB)
hey guys
i have a really clingy baby here - i think her tooth is cutting through
and I am on edge - she usually does a BIG poo every morning. well she didnt yesterday... and as yet hasnt today... so no nappy free time for this little lady until that volcanoe erupts!
i got a genessa forge side snapper - OMG even better than the original! kinda a bit like a sugar shot yet kinda a bit like a dragonfly magik. gigi i dare say you would have loved this nappy!
WOHB - Blueberry pocket. (quite risky considering the poo situation, last time she was in one of these and in the sling everything needed a wash including the sling - complete eruption!)
:hide: hello ladies
sorry Ive been AWOL - had a few things ive had to finish of and have an extra clingy 1 & 2 year olds have left me little time.
Ali hon....I hope that your little princess is behaving nicely and will be here on cue
will endevour to keep up
Still no sms so Im guessing she is still labouring or they may not have started induction yet (ya know how public hossy's can be lol)

oooh, and a little zebra suit for Miss E - thanks babe - i love it!
WOEB - umm, i love daddy/mummy flat from Maz and licorice allsorts cover i think - not sure she's sleeping so i'm not gonna check!
BG - wahoo for fluffy mail! I can't wait to get my eco bubs either.
I got fluffy mail too :leap: 2 x Iisy fly fitzalls, they are so cute!
WOXB - Iish fly fitzalls velveteen stripe, I couldn't resist!
When BBers say 'GF' for a nappy is it Genesa Forge or is there something else? They seem to be popular?
Is it weird dreaming about nappies??
im having fluffy withdrawals atm
BG - hon how are the flats going? Is using MCN as hard as some people seem to think its gonna be beforehand???
Anna - I gotta say I cant stop thinking of you atm......I bet you glad yourve gone cloth and BF this time round to help with the $$$$ for ya  babe you doing a wonderful job
Well...im thinking I have to hide our GK :( Mateauz has welts on his legs from them....I give up...poor little guy is so sensitive to stuff it breaks my heart and yet he still has a smile on his dial
ohoh before I forget....I bought some longies from Mel....didnt prewash them (i know slack mother of the year here) anyways, he had them on last night over his NN and fleece cover.....and he now has a wet 'blue' spot on his cot sheet :o the colour ran...so mental note.....wash carefully
WOMB - rockmelon delish
oh ShhhT maz thanks for the reminder ill take runner up slack mum of the year....my nappies are sitting in the washing machine i forgot all about them
so far so good Maz - we mostly use flats at home for convenience - we have a skinny little runt of a kidlet so a lot of the other nappies are still too big for her chicken legs - but it's no drama - they get washed each night over night, and dried next day. when we go out, we use fitteds (hh or kissaluv mostly) - and have given the WW a bit of a go (but again, little chicken legs aren't quite chubby enough for the MCN's just yet!). it's not difficult - i actually find it quite easy - and it stresses me less when i change a nappy and get a poop in it within 30 seconds (she can fill a new nappy quicker than i can do up a sleep suit!) than it would if i was throwing the nappies in the bin all the time!
i guess it's helped having DH home as he has done a lot of the washing for us - simply cos he doesn't want me leaning into the machine with c/s - but he is leaving at the end of the week and i'll just do it myself. Emerald is a pretty good kidlet so it will just mean working out when she is having a good sleep as opposed to a cat nap and doing the washing then - won't be quite as regular as having DH do it, but we'll get there!
