Hi all

Not much to report, getting frustrated as we're having major leaks in most things I've got in the stash at the moment. (which isn't actually that much yet) BAH. I'm also eyeing off a couple of side snapping GFs - good to hear they're absorbent cos its getting a leetle bit ridiculous having to change all his clothes everytime i change a nappy. He wets through and they're on him less than an hour? WTF

Lolly- My mcn sucked until about the 12th wash for absorbency.

Gigi- Yeah, utterly ****ed at her blatant ignorance and defiance! I actually gave her the cushie tushie instructions, not handwritten too. Nice job on pulling the children's services act card in the cc centre too! They can be so lazy sometimes

So had nappies almost dry last night and DP puts watering system on without getting clothes off line again!!! Second time in a fortnight and wasn't i ****ed!

WOCB: CT Couture Tangerine. she picked it out herself by rolling over and plucking it from the box i "shelve" them in. Was super cute!

CL - where do you live? May be repairable. There are a few of us around with snap presses.

We had our first accident in knickers today. Em was on the toilet and leant back too far. so she got the toilet seat and her pants even though she was sitting on the loo.

Nap time is here again, So Em is wearing a nappy but she didn't particularly want to.

BoB - I found that we got major wing droop in them . Very well made and extremely preeeety nappies, awesome booster system. Would also love to see her make side snaps!

GF's - the front snappers were fine on laa until a short while ago - now only the side snappers suit her. Another freaking awesome nappy label. LOVE them. I have 7 !!

DFM's - LOVE them. We have 8. Now they are really hard to get - she has closed down for a while. I hope they fit Laa for a very long time!

Who was asking about a frilly nappy? Look at the beetlebums blog. I was so peeved that I missed that one, its absolutely LUSH!!!

Kitt3n - I expressed concern to the lovely BoB lady about the wing droop problems we have, and thats why I got mine custom made - now no wing droop

DS has managed to blow out every single one of his nappies today. Definitely time to start toilet training - his bladder holds a HEAP of pee.

hi ladies! my posts seem to be few and far between, but I always read everything! Lol

I'm trying to convince DH that I need more nappies but its just not working!
I have enough for full-time IF I wash every second day. Which this week I couldn't (because I was sick - gastro ) but that still didn't convince him!
I need tips ladies! I need more fluff!!

I learnt a valuable lesson today........ NEVER assume it's safe to not put a liner in.....

I can completely relate Sneakysparkle, I am on a buying ban. I swear I need a fluff fix so bad I am shaking. errrrr, no idea how to convince your DH but good luck!

hey all, i'm trying a first tonight, put my nappies out and I think they will be dry by this morning. It is so warm outside and we have a lovely northerly happening so heres hoping!

This morning Fred screamed for half an hour, was completely inconsolable, gave her bb, cuddles, curled her cause I though she had wind, changed her nappy, nothing worked. When a little gas came out I put her in her bouncinett and with in 2 mins got a massive poop. As such the bouncinett has now been renamed the 'poop chair' she was wearing her swaddlebees ss and they kept the whole thing contained ) I couldn't believe it!

Waiting on our first NN at the moment, can't wait... we're seriously starting to outwee the BBH every night. Now for looking for covers... I might need to stalk the next MAL stocking What other covers are good for night time?

Frills... mmmmm.... I'm going to try to make a frilly nappy... got some beautiful pink satin and I'm getting ribbons to put on the butt... If i succeed I'll put pics on FB.

I had forgotten what it is like to have only 1 child in nappies 80% of the time!!! I need to wash the stash tonight but I have enough to not need to wash for a while now!! Just need to wash DH's PT gear first.

Spoke to my mum tonight. I will be allowed to put nappies in her washing machine when we are there, and if her washing machine gives up the laundromat is at the end of her street. Dad will get over it, he puts worse stuff in there anyway, and when they are here they use my machine with no hassles.

Go to a site like GF, pick out your style/colors blah blah.
THEN, go to urbanthreads.com or emblilibrary.com or bunnycup embriodery and pick aaannnnyyyy design you like to go on your nappy. They do have to be a certain size, so some designs wont work, but you will spend sooo long looking and deciding and then undeciding, you will ,be all worn out and wont want to know about it. Thats what I do when I need a fix, takes me so long to decide that by the time I have made up my mind, I actually need the nappy.

I have to rave about the GF Super SUPER nights - they are awesome. SO far the only night nappy (bar green kids) that I don't have to boost with something else for it to last for DS.

I'm so happy I got two of them - plus they are side snapping. We had a little leak today - but it came out the top of the nappy, not through the nappy - and that was just now at 9.30 - I put it on him at 6.30 last night!! (yes I know I'm slack for leaving that on him for that long, but he argues and runs away and I'm not up to chasing so I just wait till he's close and GRAB the little b*stard..lol)

So yup - they are now my fav night nappy.

And for DD - finally success for her too - nicnaps night nappies. Awesome. Love em.

LOL! I love it but I can guarantee it won't work. I spent 6 hours yesterday looking for fluff. I know it's sad but I have already seen all of the ones I have on her rear so I want new ones!

Gigi- Thank you yet again. I will probably print out a page of instructions with pictures and laminate it or something and send that along with DS to childcare! Trying not to be too patronising or cynical... but yeah, I want to be prepared for the occasions when there's likely to be a change of carers or someone just forgets. I'll probably stick with BumGenius for DS at CC, since they're the easiest of our stash, and maybe a SS Swaddlebees or two, if that's not too confusing! I'm pretty sure after a few hours running around after DS they'll be as mushy-brained as I am, and there's potential for memory lapses then! Have got the wetbags and liners sorted, and can provide stacks of cloth wipes. It just astounds me that they've never had anyone even mention cloth nappies there before. I know I'm a little alternative in some of my choices for DS and myself, but this was like a subtle "welcome to mainstream suburbia" reality check, and quite possibly the start of many polite explanations of why I make these choices (and plenty of blank stares in response). Be the change you want to see, right?

Um, who asked about night time covers?? Gigi might tell you, and I can vouch for it, Dancing Bears Bear Bottoms are good fleece covers, and they pull up. I can also recommend the GF super night nappies, which are an AIO and therefore don't need covers. Wish I had more of them, but I already had 3 or 4 Wild Child NNs and a Sandman by the time I discovered them... and they're too cute to part with in order to fund or justify buying more!

OK, that's all I can manage today. Brain has gone smooshy... wish I had the time and need to go hunting new fluffiness, and stalking posties!
