What sorta setup do you ladies have for ya naps? I have 4 nappy stackers - one for DD's, one for DS's, one for the night naps and one small one for disposables, then off course they are the bags in the cupboard of ones to be fixed, sold or too big or too small atms. It this norm or am I nuts?

I only have one of those tubs on castors right now but i think i need some shelves. We're still trying to furnish our house so it'll be a while before i get shelves. It gets a bit messy but it contains them for now and at least all the bits are in the one spot.
WOCB: one of the night nappies.......I am so scattered and can't remember which
halltribe- i have ikea shelf/drawer sorters and a couple of plastic tubs on the shelves under our change table and a nappy stacker hanging in the BIR with the flats in it. not sure how well this is going to work for us but we will see, it looks good and easy to access now :)
fluff mail again yesterday, a newborn WAHM thats white fleece with an appliqued carebare on a cloud that glows in the dark!!! hehehe the neighbours prob thought i was crazy with the noise i made when i opened the package!!

So I soaked all my nappies in rockin green the other day, now they are all drying. So the girls are in sposies.
DS went without his nappy last night too cos he woke up at 11pm last night crying and needing to do a pee :) SO a dry night here - without the security of a nappy - woohoo!!!
Fluffy Mail!!! My replacements arrived yesterday. So I need to pre wash them and then do a stash cull.

fluff mail today :) BBH petite and 2 cute tooshie fitteds only 2nd hand but still!! lol oops the cute tooshies are bright fuchsia colour, i swear they were white... but oh well, DF will never know.....either way they are very pretty!

I just had a massive poosplosion here. I'm lucky DP is home from work or it would have taken twice as long to clean up. It was EVERYWHERE as it was. I'm not allowed to buy any nappies til we receive our 6 month electricity bill. The idiots didn't open an account.

I feel the same. I've finally weaned off my desire to buy nappies... and now I get to buy some more and I'm really half-hearted about it. I love the nappies we use and I'm so glad I researched them like I did but now I'm a bit over it. I love seeing newbies getting that fluffy mail rush though :D:
Today I bought a mulberry tree and spinach and snow pea seedlings. Oh, and a puddlesuit and "hello baby" in the mothersdirect sale :lol:
I've got the chooks and I'll swap some fertile veg growing land for an oven that bakes! My thermostat started blowing sprks 2 months ago and I haven't got the $$$ to replace it...........:
Waiting for my customs. I went for some really girly ones this round because figured they'd pay off before TTing. I have a sick little munchkin that picked up a virus from playgroup and nappies are getting a workout! also I've never been hurled on so much even from her reflux days! all today has been *poo* *need new nappy mum* cry! At least she's still having WET nappies with the poo!
WOCB: Sposie because I even used her night nappies in the ****est today so made DP go buy some. She went through 17 day nappies and 3 nights today in 20 hours!
I still cant help but buy some fluff, but we are basically done now with a perfect stash for 2............. unless this next bubba is a boy, might have to tweak the colours otherwise he will be rather camp! And I have the carrier/wrap obsession which comes in waves.................

Kitten, I have found 1 called Aussies Living Simply. They seem like really nice people and it is very easy to navigate, much like this one. You need to join (free) to see all of the forum area, but def worth a squizz, some very interesting stuff and they dont appear to be too hardcore!!
Meow and CL, yeah, the more lil man grows up, the more I begin to worry about the world I am leaving him, and of course what I put into his body while it is still under my control LOL
We are super, super lucky, we have 2 acres of lovely black soil in the Gold Coast hinterland and a house which is almost finished (even tho we have been living in it for the last 2 years!) So when it is done, we will be able to spend our spare cash on our own little nirvana.I work from home and can work any hours I want so it is easily do able.
I am just really craving the simple life KWIM?

Oh thanks- I have just looked up that forum and it looks great! We're getting into permaculture and I want chooks too... We just have a regular house in the burbs but there is enough room to do things with. We're planting a mini orchard in the front yard and raised garden beds right around the back with more trees and what will be our rotating square metre veggie plots. Then regular lawn to play on in the middle :D
We use disposables at night too. When I was pregnant and while my son was little I never would have believed I'd use a disposable every day. I'm glad we had him in cloth overnight for so long and out of disposables while he was little but we just found that he felt damp on his skin with cloth at night and it was waking him up. He sleeps better in a disposable so for the sake of sleep... we buy the nature babycare ones so at least there is less impact on the environment and there are less chemicals on his bot.

Meow, I was finding the same sort of thing with Laa overnight - namely with AI2's. Now we have switched over to pockets only with suede cloth inners. Now she sleeps wonderfully.

Hmm... we were using Green Kids which have a suede cloth inner I think. We were also using polar fleece liners which should make him feel drier shouldn't they? He was always a shocking sleeper so for ages it didn't matter but it got to a point where he seemed to be pretty much sleeping through. He would wake a little wriggly and just need a quick comfort back to sleep rather than a BF or anything. When I felt inside his nappy he would really squirm and the wetness on his skin would always feel clammy and cold. We tried disposables and he stopped waking up so we went with it. He still wakes up sometimes and I'm just not sure anymore if I'm game to go back to cloth.

Hi girls hoping u can help me solve a problem.
DD2 wears BBH night nappies and theyre giving her the most awfull nappy rash, theyre like massive blisters that occasionally bleed! The rash also was on her legs where the nappy touches her skin
at first i thought it was because i put her in a sposie one afternoon but soon figured out that it was the night nappy.
i've had her in sposies at night for about 3 weeks while it was healing and it finally had so i put her back in the BBH but the next morning her rash was back.
None of her other nappies cause it, theyre all lined in different things but none seem to cause her any issue just the bbh night.
anyone know what could be causing it? i bought some bamboo boosters that i layed ontop of her nappy laSt night so that it was touching her skin, no noticable difference yet.
Whats the lining on the BBH night nappies skye?
microfleece, its weird though, the petites are exactly the same and cause her no problems and it didnt happen right from the start either....
How long have you had the BBH? Perhaps try doing an anti-fungal wash on them. Especially if it didnt start straight off the bat, that would be my bet.

Yeah just canestan. I use it with every wash - mainly cos that there are two girls in cloth here and thats two vaginas.. LOL
yep...try putting some lavender or teatree in the rinse too and dry them in the sun if you can get it lol

were do you get canastan wash from?
I bought canesten wash from the chemist once but I'm pretty sure I've seen it in the supermarket with the laundry detergents too.
just from the supermarket...in the washing detergent aisle, usually next to the dettol rinse (same stuff, different name)
Spam me with some good dedicated night nappies folks.......Mr C is sleeping 8-10 hours at night now and I need a good night nappy for him.....preference is for fitteds so I can make use of the nice woolen soakers I have......not a fan of pul or fleece/artficial fibres for overnight.
OOOO, That explains the little blisters on DD's thighs a few weeks back. I usually canestan rinse once a fortnightish here because we get TONNES of sun. I have a lovely undercover drying area that gets sun for 8ish hours straight.:
The canestan rinse is in the soakers section at my woolies. I had to actually ask because at first I couldn't find it. They put it right at the top.

poor DS has a small bllister on his bottom at the moment. have been busy with creams and such trying to get rid of it. its going very slowly. always putting on curash powder the last few days too.
might get some of that canestan rinse in the shopping this week and give that a go.

Our son has had the odd blister nappy rash on his bot and we found it was related to food. Watermelon was the thing for him- will find out again next summer if it still affects him. We found curash powder worked really well because it sticks to the open weepy bit. Poor little bubbas! :(
you will all find much cheaper, and more effective, to use lavender oil instead of canestan. you only need 6 drops per wash (full load) and 2 for the rinse, once a week.
OOO! That's bound to smell much nicer too! I don't like the canestan rinse smell. I have some of that around too!:
