OMG Caro, my eyes are falling out of my head after reading through that thread! My head is still spinning a bit, I'm really not sure which way I want to go ATM. Just wondering, I've bypassed the paed in this case because it takes so long to get in, and I just can't wait, but can the the GP prescribe losec? Or will he just give us Zantac? I'm a bit unsure as to what will be best for him.....and I need to research the losec a bit more. Thanks for your encouragement

Christy, I've just read through your reflux story............what a battle for you and your girls! You are an amazing mum. I am already sure that Nicholas has a problem with soy. Unfortunately I am a little bit lactose intolerant, so don't drink cows milk, usually soy. It really seems to upset him so I drink rice milk for now. I'm thinking I need to be stricter with eliminating dairy from my diet, because I do eat things like yoghurt and cheese. I am aware that a percentage of people who are lactose intolerant are also intolerant to soy, so I'm guessing that Nicholas might be one of them. It seems very daunting! Though I am happy to do it if it means we can keep BFing and that Nicholas is happy

Thank goodness he is having a sleep now, albeit a very unsettled one. I know he needs help, but I really feel that just putting him on meds may not totally help him. Someone said to me today that when I put him on solids he will probably improve. But I thought if he has intolerances then it might be worse!

Christy, would you recommend seeing an allergist? How would I go about finding one? I guess I could speak to my LC, she specialises in nutritional medicine, so probably knows someone.

I think I need to sleep on all of this - if Nicholas does LOL! Thanks so much for your responses, please keep them coming
