Nicky,
Oscar's gums have been like that for the past 2 months with the broken skin on them and nothing has come through! I hope for your sake something comes through but we are still sitting her twiddling our thumbs waiting for something to emerge!
We have had teeth poking out the front of DS' gums for 3 months now. On and off he has a few days where he is grizzly, and in pain due to the teeth, and then all is fine for a while.
Anyway, last night, I noticed there is an actual 'slit' in his gum above one of his bottom teeth, that looks as if its about ready to come through.
Is this 'slit' in his gum, a sign of a tooth coming through in the next few days? or could he continue on the same path he has been on for the last 3 months?
I just want the pain to be worth it for once. Poor little guy.
thanks.

Poor little chap!
Is he chumping on rusks? I find with Pip that once I give him rusks the teeth come through quicker than if I don't.
Nice cool watermelon to chew on is good too.
Either way, good luck!
For babys sake lets hope it pops through quick, but that isnt always the case. Once its through the pain isn't as bad but just as soon as one appears, another starts making its way out. I remember lots of waking up through the night with DS#1 first teeth and if you havent already tried it baby panadol might relieve his pain a bit.
