When & how to start brushing

DD is 7 months and cut her first 2 teeth about 1-2 weeks ago and I think she's about to cut her third. When should I start brushing her teeth? I've noticed a baby toothbrush and want to get it. What do I do though, should I start getting her used to a brush now that she's got teeth growing? I know that at this age there is no need and it's not recommended to use toothpaste, but what do I do? Do I actually brush them or just give her the brush to chew on to get used to it? How do I start oral hygine on a 7 month old?

As soon as teeth appear you should start brushing her teeth. Get a kids toothbrush and just use water. Brush over the teeth like you would your own. The younger you teach them, the easier it'll be for them to use it later on.

I used to buy the firs toothbrush when the first tooth appeared and then let them chew it for a while then say ok its mummy's turn now.. and most of the time they had no issues with it..

toothpaste I think is around 12 months..

Actually, toothpaste is for when they can spit (so they don't swallow it!). So more like sometime past two.......
