I don't always ovulate, but we also have other issues so used IVF.
If everything else looks ok for now, then using hormones to achieve ovulation might be a good way to start out - something like clomid is often the first step.

I have annovulatory cycles and did about 6 months of Clomid. Progesterone levels on CD21 confirmed ovulation. (We had no success falling pg on Clomid). We have also done 3 round of IUI to no avail.

I've popped my head in there because no doubt that will be the only option at the moment for me next cycle... No signs of ovulation yet. At all. tried opks and although I get a line I've only had one way fainter than the control line... I had one about half the shade of the control 3 days ago and this morning and yesterday arvo it was like there was no line!
Melzi If you think there is any chance that you might be needing rads after the lumpectomy it's probably best to put your TTC plans on hold until you know a little more about what's happening. Rads is not recommended while you're pregnant and the usual course starts 4-6 weeks after surgery and goes every weekday for 6 weeks. Take a list of questions with you when you go to see the surgeon next week, depending on the pathology results after the lumpectomy you may need to avoid certain types of hormonal therapies, so it's best to ask how to find these sorts of things out early on. I've got everything crossed for you that it turns out to be atypical but not cancerous, so that the lumpectomy is the only treatment you need
Thanks will do... My dr is suggesting clomid for this next cycle so doesn't seem to be too phased about us holding off. I was concerned about this but dr says it's unlikely that I'll need rad. Therapy. We shall see!
And marydean I was asking in general as well. Might have to hold off but I'd rather wait till I get the results.

I would suggest you seek a Naturopath that specialises in Natural Fertility Management.
I had annovulatory cycles with my endometriosis in the past and with intensive natural therapies they went away. A simple saliva hormone test will ascertain exactly what is going on with your hormones and can can be very telling of what is going on underneath.
