Question Anyone here on BB fallen pregnant whilst using the withdrawal method?

Hi girls, has anyone here fallen pregnant whilst using the withdrawal method? What are the chances?
As you can see from my sig, we plan to start TTC in a couple of months, so I came off the pill in march to give my body some time to get into the normal rhythem of things. We have used condoms (sorry TMI) but we had run out and used the withdrawal method twice.
The last day or so I've noticed I've had sore boobs, an occasional cramping feeling in my uterus and I've been headachey. I just looked at the calender and worked out that we probably DTD about 1.5 days before ovulation. I am currently about 10 dpo. I have a longish cycle so AF is not actually due for another 6 days.
I know the chances would be pretty damn slim, but these symptoms have got me thinking about it

Might be worth getting an HPT CM. I think the only way it really works is when it's the "I'm having withdrawals from not having sex" method.

Sure have just look at my signature!!! But wouldn't change it for a thing to be honest. No harm in using this method but be prepared to have more kids sooner that is if you are extremely fertile and all your partner has to do is tougch you to get preggas Lol! 0

    Hi,
I've never been on the pill and have only used the withdrawl method. We've been married for 14yrs and our pregnancies have always been planned. I'm not saying it's fool proof because accidents do happen, I suppose we've been very lucky. I'm seriously thinking of going on the pill now though, because our family is complete and we've decided we won't be having any more.
    Regards,
    Dianne

*ahem* (points at DD1 in signature)

That was a 5 minute quickie, withdrawal method as we didn't have time to grab a condom, while a house guest was in the shower...

DD was our little 'withdrawal method' surprise. DS2 was our 'on the pill but had gastro earlier in the month' surprise.

    Hi everyone,

thanks so much for your replies.
Mantaray, and I do have a HPT but it's still a little too early to test. I'll have to wait til sunday.

Hmm, so even though it was only a twice off, it does seem like it could be possible hey, especially as Michael pointed out . But then again, it's worked a treat for Dianne.

Kimbaz, yeah a MACS is a maternal-assisted caesarean. Basically where the mum gets to lift bubs out of the incision and onto her chest herself - after the OB has delivered the head and shoulders of course. It's my back up plan if I can't VBAC.

How funny, the way memory plays tricks on you...

Now that I recall, we didn't actually pull out when Molly was conceived. We thought it was an infertile time and we just went for it due to the aforementioned house guest being in the shower and opportunity knocking.

So, I guess, chalk one up for the withdrawal method, and scratch one for rhythm... LOL

    Me too

Used the withdrawal method heaps in the past (when I was young and foolish and also old enough to know better) and never had a PG occur from it. Don't tell this to any 16yo's you may know

Nah, a few brain cells fired off when I saw Molly walking past and I remembered the occasion. Let's face it - it was kind of memorable.
