Hi all,

Well FINALLY my gyno appt with Mike Aitken was today.
He was almost an hour late (!) but it was worth the wait. He is fabulous! Very easy to talk to and very personable. And he apologised for the lateness - some pregnant emergency..

So he has confirmed that yes, I am NOT ovulating. He says that my problems are NOT related to being on BCP for so long - more likely a combination of irregular AF prior to BCP, and, of course, stress Just as I predicted.

So I'm not producing enough FSH.

So we're going to 1) get DH swimmer's checked (just incase) and 2) get my tubes checked

and then we'll qualify for the subsidised FSH injections Apparently you have to prove that everything else is *ok* before you can get the FSH (ie no point having FSH if your tubes are blocked!).

And then hopefully I'll start ovulating and we can catch that egg

So plan is to have 1) and 2) done in the next few months and then the FSH injections around July (which is when we want to start TTC).

In the mean time if AF arrives by herself, I'm to get the tracking BT's done to see what happens...

Phew! All a bit much to take in for one day I think. But I want to find out about the HyCoSy procedure - I suspect it's going to be rather unpleasant. Anyone want to share their experience of it??
