    Conflicting Pregnancy Tests

    Hello All

I am new to this forum and was hoping for some opinions please.

I have just done two pregnancy tests one crysal clear which came up negative and a First Response which came up (very obviously) positive within the anticipated 3 minutes, I am unsure what to think and will probably re-test in a couple of days with a third party brand, but at this stage would you assume you were pregnant?

Am a little anxious due to recent miscarriage.

Any replies would be much appreciated.

I only use and very much trust first response. So it sounds like you've got yourself a BFP. Can understand the anxiety you may be experiencing am sure everything is going to be fine. Let us know how you go but if you got two lines from first response then I think you're pregnant! Perhaps the crystal clear one wasn't as sensitive or maybe it was just a dud test?

i used first response aswell & didnt have any problems with it..they do say that you are more likely to get a false negative then a false positive!

Maybe you should either do a digital test that will say either pregnant or not pregnant? or you could make a drs appointment & ask for a blood test?

    Good luck

    Hi Hun
Your post time says afternoon - I recommend testing again with first morning wee - and how any days past ovulation are you and what is your normal cycle if you have one - those things will help with any advice we may be able to share.

    Good luck!

Hi, I agree with SamiH, the best time to do your test are very first thing in the morning, but if you are still un sure ask your gp for another urine and blood test, hope its third time lucky for you, fingers crossed, best wishes.

Thank you all for your replies, will try the first morning test, in response to your questions Sami, I have an irregular cycle and predict that I am 14dpo based on the ovulation signs I experienced but I could be a few days out....I really appreciate you all taking the time to help.

    Best wishes

    Hi

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, I will let you know the outcome asap, decided not to do any more home tests as really faint positives drive me crazy.
