I used to do the exact same thing as you, go back after hours of testing to see if a line had appeared. When I fell pregnant with this baby I had tests that could test 10 mlU/ml as well and my faint (so faint i though I was imagining it) line showed up after an hour but a couple of days later were darker pretty much straigh away. I thought they were evaps but obviously they werent. Although I was testing at 8 DPO.
