We fell pregnant with our son by suprise although we werent using any contraception for about 12 months beforehand. We werent exactly trying though.

my AF returned when i was 8 months Post partum and its been pretty regular ever since. Although I havent been tracking or temping yet
i just thought it would happen by itself
And now its starting to bug me

And to make things worse everyone around me is having babies or falling pregnant ands asking me when we are going to have another one..... Just tonight my brother kept insisting that he knew i was pregnant(which im not) and was mucking around (hes 22) its so frustrating atm

Probably be a good idea to start temping, you may be Oing earlier or later than you think and that is why you are not falling pg. I do think it is a bit concerning that you wern't on any contraception for 12 mths and even though you wern't really ttc you didn't fall pg sooner- you may be having anovulatory cycles (where you don't release an egg) and just happened to 'catch' it the right time and fell pg with your DS. If it makes you feel better Mum2Romone (probably won't actually) I have now been off the pill for 8 months and nothing here either. I have a 22 mth old son and want to have another one. I am totally frustrated and upset and over it. I honestly didn't think that it would take this long either. Everyone around me too seems to be falling pg in like no time and here I am...still waiting. Guess our time will come but that's still not comforting... Oh well... guess we just have to get back on that horse this month...

I keep telling myself that as about 80% fall pg in the first year...surely my odds are increasing..they have to be!!

I too have been trying with no luck for about 6 months and dont have a previous child. My sis told me to start temping but it is all soooo confusing to me. Anyone feel the same way? my last cycle was a week late and i got so excited that when i got the BFN i was really disappointed. So hard being around all my friends that have babies starting to feel left behind and im trying not to.Arghhhh

I did temping for a little while, but I have annovulatory (no O) cycles so it really didn't help me. I guess at first it is hard but then it sort of becomes second nature I guess. What about OPK's (pee on stick to detect O)?

I was off the pill for 1 year before we started trying. It's only been a couple of months, but I just don't get why it doesn't happen straight away! So frustrating! I'm as cluess as you as why it isn't happening.

Wishing us all a speedy conception. xx

Hey yeah i might try that this month. Dr told me the dates so i just hope she is right and something happens this month. So disheartning when you areover a week late and then BAM af shows up.
