I just wanted to add that it may still be too early to get a BFP, even if you used an early detection test. I tested two days before AF was due with DS#2 and got a BFN, I then waited until I was 2 days overdue and finally got a nice strong BFP.

    Best of luck

I also think it's probably simply too early to get a BFP, even with an early test. In my experience those early tests have never actually given me a BFP any earlier than a standard test has! You just have to give it some time, it is still very early days.

I know what you mean? In theory it sounds so simple. egg + sperm = pregnant! I guess there has to be everything "just right" and there is no way to predict which particular cycle will be "the one". I hope this is it for you or it happens soon.

Thank you so much for your replys. All very valid considerations, so I just hope in the 2yrs since conceiving our DD my egg quality and "plumbing" has maintained some of its previous good working order . But I guess 2yrs at this end of my reproductive years is along time.

My AF is 1 day late but I feel a tad pmt so I'll just wait a few more days before testing.

    Thanks again

lol i was a lil like you. then i did a bit of research and yeah its not as easy as i thought, i just thought the sperm meet the eggy and that was it. but didnt realise that only 50 out of millions of sperm make it to meet the eggy to start with.

Lola good luck when you test next time. Like everyone has said it is so frustrating that it isn't as easy as sperm + eggy = pregnant. Please feel free to come and join us in the TTC threads. It's great to have some support and to vent to as you go through the diffeerent parts of your cycles.
    Best of luck.
