I haven't been to the gym yet, got study to do today - but yes, exercise can help - even if it is just for a bit of stress relief and to get the endorphins flowing - not stupid at all. I'd say go for it!
I am actually at a weight where my AF has always disappeared in the past - never to return until I lost weight. I thought being post-baby was helping the AF because I was regular. In the past, being lighter definitely has helped the AF - although not always regular!. I lost 3 stone in the 2 years before we even started to TTC and it seemed to help - managed to concieve twice when we were told it was unlikely to ever happen. Weight is not a problem in your case - a little bit my problem now!
Now back to the study - better check the gym timetable too!
