Just wondering if I could possibly be ovulating from both sides??
Getting horrible pains on the left side (ovulation hurts ), but I'm having niggles on the right side too.
Thoughts?
Oh, my cycles have been really muddled up lately after my early m/c at the start of August.
Today is CD17 and I only just started feeling O pains last night.
I agree, it could be both - or perhaps it's referred pain? When I ovulate I get it mostly from one side but get achy on the other one (and across my back) too.
All pain was gone by lunch time, so it was definately ovulation pain.
Left side was killing me (as usual), and I O'd from the right side last month.
Right side was a little achy, it seemed to be in my ovary but didn't last long.
You can get pains on both sides from ovulation on a single side. When you ovulate, the follicle containing the egg ruptures, and this follicle is full of blood. The blood is released into your abdominal cavity and irritates the lining and this is what causes cramping. It can cause cramping on/near both ovaries because the follicular fluid can easily reach the other ovary. HTH.
