Pregnant, towards the end of Depo?

    Hi

I had a depo provera injection 3 months ago, and my doctor told me that I would need another one on 31st March to maintain protection.

Anyway, dh and I decided not to have another injection because my sex drive plummeted while on it!

I had af about 2 weeks before the depo was due to end (middle of March), and now I just have terrible headaches and nausea and so we are both a bit suspicious of pregnancy!

Could it be, while still technically covered by the injection?

    Thanks for any advice!

    Gwen

Gwen, I was told when I had it that the length of time that you are effectively covered for would vary slightly between each woman - for some it will wear off quicker and others will be covered for longer, that's why it is really important to get it every 12 wks, but I was like you and had zero libido when I had it so I had no intention of getting it a second time, but it was a good 6mths before I could say things were normal, so I have no idea if it still would have been effective or not, we used condoms as I wasn't keen on taking the BCP when things were so screwy.

If you think it is possible that you could be pg, do a test, it wont hurt to be sure.

    Thanks for the reply.
    I just took a test, and i have a v.v.v.faint BFP.
I am going to take a digital pregnancy test to be sure.

I could see the line at the top, but then fading towards the bottom. I can see the BFP if I hold the test to the light, but is that true even if the test is a BFN?

I will be really happy if it IS a BFP, because i've had a lot of chemo over the past 16 months, so we will feel blessed - but very very busy with 3 children under 4!
