Ready to conceive #2 but no AF

My bubs nearly one and growing up so fast. I'd really like to start trying for bub #2 in the next 2 months but AF has not returned. I am only breastfeeding once a day and have been doing this for 2 months. Bub sleeps through the night so I get at least 9 hours sleep a night.

Has anyone else fallen pregnant without getting their period back?

I know ppl who have got pg before they got there period back but if they hadn't of gotten pg they would've gotten AF anyway because you Ovulate before Af returns if that makes sense so once you start O'ing again Af will return.

I guess what I'm basically saying is till your body decides to start having Af again and O'ing nothing will happen. Its hard to say when it will happen cause seems so many woman are different. I got Af back when I cut down to 3 feeds where others got sooner some later.

I did not get a return of AF until 6 weeks after I completely stopped BF, then fell pregnant that next cycle. Of course, some people will easily achieve pregnancy while BF but for me it was clear that my fertility only returned once my DS was completely weaned. Good luck!

i fell pregnant with DD#3 when DD#2 was 10 months old. I was breastfeeding about 3 times a day and had not had AF - so obv ovulated b4 i got AF, but caught the eggy.....

My body seems to gear up for AF around the 10mth mark - as i got full AF back when my first was 10 months old.......

I guess we were extremely lucky to fall pregnant this way, i had no idea i was ovulating, or AF was on its way....it was a complete suprise.

Thanks guys, funnily enough when I started stressing about it my body kicked into gear and AF returned - yay! Hoping to convince DH that it's TTC time for #2.
