Leading up to the time I knew AF was due I had slight cramping and had that usual bloaty fullness. I was SURE AF was on her way but she never showed.

Slight cramping can definitely be an early pg symptom. If you don't want to be disappointed by a BFN then see if you can hold out until AF is due and if she's late test then. HPTs are more reliable after AF is late anyway.
