You should log onto a free website called "fertility friend" , start charting your cycle, by taking temps, and observing your CM etc, that way you will know when you ovulate (step 1) You may be pleasantly surprised that you o when he is in town..

My DH works away off and on, and it's a little different for me than you, b/c of my age. However, depending on how much medical intervention you want, and how long he is away for, you can freeze his sperm, and have IUI's, that may be way too much to think about right now, but it is a viable option if he's away work is continual for the next couple of years. The sperm thaws really well.


The only problem with the pill is it may shut down your hormones and muck things up.....I would IMO try to keep it as natural as possible
