You've had 3 BFPs from 4 IVF - that's pretty awesome in my books! I know 2 of them could not stay with you, but you're still doing better than I did TTC#1 (1 BFP from 5 cycles) and I was 32-34 during those cycles.

While you're still producing eggs, it's still possible.

I'll be lucky if I don't hit menopause before 42, so we're all different. All you can do is keep going so long as it's right for you and stop when it's no longer right to continue. No-one can tell you when it's time to throw in the towel, it's something you and your partner have to work out for yourselves.

hi lovely, I am sorry to hear your having some doubts and fears at the moment. Last night on the news (here in Sydney) there was a story that women over 40 are leading the baby boom. Your not alone out there, there are lots of women your age having babies. My nana also had a baby later in life.

Good luck hun, i hope you get your wish soon

Thanks ladies, I wrote the post after 2 glasses of red hahaha so I was feeling pretty emotional, lol.

Yas and Kazzo, it's good to know there were 'older' pg in your families! It's so encouraging to hear, thank ladies.

Juniper, I hear what you're saying bun, I just suspect my 'half decent' fertile window was when I was 38. Looking back at my results this year, so 4 years later, the path to conception seems to be that much harder, which is what I expected. I think because we keep moving the cycle out and that damn clock is ticking away so bloody loudly (it's actually gone off now, with full on ringing ) I feel like I am literally running out of time AND eggs

I had Miss A two months before turning 42. I had 4 m/cs trying to get her and ended up on hormone support but we got there eventually with a natural conception. I also have just had another m/c so conception at least is still possible.

I hope the conception fairy smiles on you very soon
