Hi Jess and LG. Hope you are both having a good day so far. Yep you are looking at another PCOS girl here or a Soul Cyster as I like to say
Jess I think you have to go with what ever your heart is telling you to do. A lot of people have very mixed thoughts about what is the right thing to do, should it be natural or not? Personally I went straight to the gyn after I was diagnosed and started on Clomid. Unfortunately it was not a success for me but it has been for many, many woman so please don't find that discouraging. I will be going back to my Gyn myself soon and I have been having really mixed thoughts about what is the right thing to do as well.
I am currently on a break from TTC and can completely understand what you are saying about the long cycles. I have just ended an 80day cycle myself. I don't know whether it is is a coincidence or not but I started taking Vitex about 3 1/2 weeks before I got AF and I have also been losing some weight. LG I have been on a low carb diet and I have lost almost 6kg and trust me once you get in the habit you won't even crave those foods anymore and this is coming from someone who looooooves bread. I think all of these things combined have possibly helped me to get AF. Previously I had to take Provera to get AF so I was very chuffed that I got this one naturally.
Jess as far as a good Gyn in Brisbane I would have a look into the QLD Fertility Group. Maybe have a look at their web site they would probably have a list of all of the doctors. My Gyn is with them her name is Dr Barbara Hall and I personally think she is wonderful. She is at Spring Hill. The other thing that I love about QFG is that they have a clinic on Wickam (sp?)Terrace where you go for your blood tests. If you have bloods done in the morning by lunch time your Dr has the results so it is always really quick.
Well girls I hope that helps. My apologies for the mammoth post. Once I get started I can't stop Good luck to both of you.
