Very high temps. When should I test?

Just wondering if/when you think I should test. I'm currently 10DPO and these are the highest temps I've EVER had!! Is that a good sign?

I don't want to jump the gun, and in the past have been a little... pee-stick-happy so was wondering if my temps stay high (particularly this high) when you think would be ok to test.

Trying not to get my hopes up, but really for BFP this cycle. Have been TTC#1 for 4 years, and we're booked in for our first appointment with FS next Friday. for a little miracle this month!!

Hmm.... I don't know if having higher temps means higher hcg or anything so I don't know if you can test early. But, I would try to wait till at least 12 DPO, then you have a better chance of getting a bfp.
Wishing you all the luck in the world!!

    Hi Alla,

Your temps look good. Possibly triphasic? You are still on Day10 po so I would wait at least another 2days to test. Most HPK's will pick up results at early as 10D po but you could then have the disappointment of a chemical pregnancy (I hope that stays far, far, far away from you!).

Very excited for you. Hope it is a for you. everything crossed for you hun. loads of and

    good luck.

Thanks guys, was I was very emotional while reading your responses. I was hoping to hold out till at least the weekend, but wasn't sure if that was still too early.

Also, I've just moved back to AUS after living in the States for 6 years - is there a brand of test you would recommend? Can you get 'first response' in AUS? Might pick up something tomorrow and test on Sat am (DPO 12) if temps are still high.

Thanks again for your support!! Now have to pull it together again before DH gets home...

first response is available here. You can get some from your pharmacy or safeway. ClearBlue is also a very reputable brand.digital ones tend to be more accurate if testing early. You can get a vapor line with the others which causes confusion especially if you are wanting an answer desperately. Don't need any ambiguities!! :goodluck2:

    Hi Bub4Me.

I suggest giving it another two days until you're 12 DPO, I got a positive result at 10DPO but my 12DPO result was very clear.

The brand I highly recommend is Lullaby Conceptions which can pick up the pregnancy hormone at 7DPO in most people but I believe you can only get them on their website so it would take you a few days to get them.

Anyone else have a shop-brand which they can recommend??

Good luck and I cant wait to log on over the weekend and see some beautiful flashing at me !!!!

Try not to get your hopes up. I compared this cycle to your last one and on CD29 you were only .1 lower so it doesn't look that much higher to me. I'd leave it another couple of days before testing as on your last cycle you started to drop from CD30. If it stays high or rises for a couple more days then go on and test.

Lullaby Conceptions have the most reliable early tests you can get IMHO. I got a positive on one at 10DPO (after a 6DPO & 7DPO implantation dip). For store bought ones the digital ones are good as they will say pregnant or not pregnant - no guess work. You might have to wait til your AF is due for those though, can't remember.

Best of luck for a temp rise tomorrow.

Hi, I agree with the other girls and would try to hold out until 12DPO. But, that's coming from me who is usually a POAS addict. This is the first cycle I managed to hold out until 12DPO, as usually I start around 8DPO, lol. I've found first response tests to be really good. While the other two brands I used gave me faint (but very noticeable) lines, the first response left absolutely no doubt

    Good luck!!!

Thanks. Last night I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that this month wasn't to be, considering Satya's comment, but I had another high temp today. Should I test tomorrow???

I recommend Discover One Step tests. I got my first BFP at 10 dpo and then another +ve at 12 DPO. They give very clear strong lines.

If your temp is the same or higher tomorrow I would definitely test

Good luck, I hope that this is it for you!

For sure. If you get another high temp tomorrow test away. If it's still high you are very likely to get a positive HPT. Good luck tomorrow.

Sorry to have put a negative spin on it yesterday, but I know only too well how easy it is to get excited too early. It took me 14 years to hae my son and countless amounts of two week waits - many where I thought things looked promising only for the temp to drop the next day. Just trying to balance things out a little for you.

Good idea Satya. Nothing worse than people telling you what you want to hear then getting a BFN (not that I've been in your shoes and had too many of them thankfully).

But, the countdown is on Bub4Me. Look forward to seeing your result tomorrow.....

Satya- I understand. I wasn't particularly upset last night, just disappointed since I have been feeling (touch wood) like this was the closest we've been. Deciding it wasn't to be this month is a silly subconcsious reaction so that I don't get my hopes up too. Sometimes I don't have much confidence in myself when it comes to the charting, so thought you had a more experienced, realistic (since we've been TTC for so long) preception. Since we've had so much trouble, I was sure yours was the obvious answer.

We have been TTC#1 4 years and it hasn't (as I'm sure you can understand) been easy for me, particularly watching everyone else around me look at each other and get pregnant. I appreciate your concern for balance, and thank you for posting again today.

Well, I bought a clearblue digital test on my way home this afternoon, so will see how the temp is in the morning. Ooh, I wish I could test now. Going out tonight with DH, my brother and his girlfriend, so will hopefully get my mind off temps for a while. I must say, I was VERY happy to get another high temp today...

So I woke up this morning excited to temp and to test. Temp was down slightly, but I didn't think it was too dramatic. Tested and saw the painful BFN staring back at me. In reality, I don't think this is the month for me.

I'm a bit confused tho', becuase I didn't realise till late last night, but the program that I use to chart sent me the Triphasic message yesterday. With today's temp the triphasic is still there. I put in some dummy temps for tomorrow, and if your temp drops way down the triphasic message goes away, so technically the program still thinks I have a triphasic chart (so far). Are there any other causes for a triphasic pattern other than pregnancy? I didn't think there was.

I'm trying very hard to just enjoy the beautiful day and let what's going to happen happen. There's nothing I can do now but just wait, but it's hard, am having a rough day. DH is taking me to a cafe for lunch then we're going to spend the afternoon in the park since Brissie is having gorgeous weather today, so hopefully that will help me to relax.

Let me know what you think, but I've pretty much realised it isn't happening for me this month
