Hi Cindy - I would ask for a referal to a gyno - to sort out your irregular period - TTC can be very frustrating when you have a regular cycle - so harder still for you. The gyno can see if and when you ovulate etc. there would be nothing worse than to "try" for 12 months if there is a problem you could have seen to 8 months previously. If all is well it will at least set your mind at ease. We asked very "firmly" after 6 months and discovered some issues - i would hate to have waited 6 months more before doing anything.
