Chef's toolbox is nice, but waaaay tooooo expensive. For what you get I could get top catering brand goods for the same price with a longer warranty.

K Rudd and I did a spot of shopping at the General Trader yesterday and I just grabbed a metal one - if that works for me then I won't need to buy a more expensive silicone one!

But seriously, thanks so much, if the metal one turns out not to be as friendly as I hoped, then I'll revisit this thread.

Honestly, if something goes wrong with my cakes now, I'm going to have to be admitted...I have never gotten a cake right since my beautiful sponge in year 10 home ec...and that was (ooer) 10 years ago! I'm sick of having to microwave cakes to sort out the middle. It's not the same.
