I'll be back later with more, but for now:
1) I actually missed my TMX whilst away. I am so used to fresh, homemade, "proper" food now, I was craving it. Got home last night too tired to do more than have toast. Tonight I made myself some yummy chicken soup with no numbers in it. Proper stuff using stock I also made and had in the freezer.
2) the big difference between the TMX & the chef is the motor. The chef is made in China & has a mechanical motor. The TmX is European and has a resistance motor - it uses magnets, not moving parts, so it will last longer. Which, given the price of both, is where I think the price difference is. Also, you'd be surprised at how important the reverse function can be. I researched this a lot before I bought.
3) you & your DH need to have or attend a demo. My DH was a sceptic until he saw how it worked.
Bbl with more. Check out the TMX lovers thread for ideas.
