Bloom - if you put the chicken pieces in the steamer basket whilst cooking, that will prevent it being pulverised. It's what I do when I'm making chicken soup.

Last night I was tempted to not cook. Too tired. But I made myself, so I made an adaption of a chicken, vegie & rice dish I found on a blog. I cooked the rice in a mix of coconut milk and water whilst steaming the chicken & veggies. I did make a sauce to marinate the chicken in but it may have been better as a sauce to pour over. It wasnt as good as the salmon the night before. Still, it was better than getting fish n chips. It's interesting working out the timings too, as the recipe was for a whole chicken but I just cooked a chicken breast. Anyway, I have left overs for lunch.

The green smoothies are yummy. I just make sure there's lots of tasty fruit to disguise the spinach & kale.

I just took the GF coconut and banana loaf out of the oven and it's collapsed! Just waiting for it to cool before cutting it to see if it's doughy inside. Might be one of those things where the TMX didn't provide enough aeration

ETA - yep, yukky doughy bleh. Doesn't tast good either, so it's getting chucked. I'm not making that again. It uses psyllium husk instead of egg. oh well, we live and learn.

Really? All I taste is chocolate in mine - sometimes banana if it's a little bit too much. Can't wait for tomorrow - another green smoothie day!!

Had the raw fruit cereal today with a splash of milk - so yummy.

Plus made chicken balls for dinner - we love them!

Ambersky - I became addicted to the Dinner Spinner mac & cheese and put on too much weight

MNB - I havent put cocoa in my green smoothies yet. I'm thinking of getting some crio bru and trying that. I blitzed a heap of veggies and froze it into ice blocks. It saved them going off before I used them. Now all I have to do it throw in some cubes with fruit. I'm finding I sleep better on days I have them.

I am making a chicken pot pie and the smell is making me drool. The chicken and veggies mix is staying hot in the Thermoserver whilst I cook sweet potato. I'm going to mash it and put it on top. It's not a 'real' pie, as it has no crust, but it should be yummy. I adapted it from one I found on the recipe community. Naturally, I chose not to follow the recipe properly I just used what I had. I really hope it tastes good.

I had dessert first. I made baked rice pudding from some left over rice and scoffed that earlier. Very yum. Bad for me, but yum.

Thermomixing today. So far I've made a green smoothie and boiled eggs. I'm now going to make some chocolate brownies from a Paleo recipe, so chocolate, avocado, honey, eggs and coconut flour. It's probably GAPS friendly too. It's from the tgipaleo blog. I hope they're nice.

I had a major acid reaction to food last week. My face looks like a pizza and my skin felt itchy and burning. We think it's onions, so I ended up throwing out half the chicken pot pie it was really yummy too. It may have also been the dried fruit in the rice pudding, so the rest of that went in the bin as well.... What a waste.

I was going to make the brownies yesterday but made chicken soup instead I also have more chicken stock cooking in the slow cooker. I'm cooking it 24 hours this time to get aas any nutrients as possible.

I didn't, no. I've bought the rest of the ingredients though. I'd run out of cocoa. I really feel like baking but I don't want to eat it. I do want to play with modelling chocolate for icing, so I'm wondering if I can make it into cupcakes.

I've made the foccacia in the EDC recently and it worked really well. Cost less than a $1 I reckon for the ingredients but my local Brumbies sells them for $5. Super saving.

Also made custard a lot. And hot chocolate too. Both with dextrose (doing the whole Sweet Poison no sugar thing). And this week I'm doing the butter chicken and steaming rice in it too. Plus I may try naan...

I love days like today! We are heading out for dinner to a friends. So I cook them dinner before hand. Today I mad a risotto for one with leftover salami creamed corn (made my own from frozen of course ) and fresh basil. It's in the thermoserve resting now while they have baths/showers. YAY!

I thought I'd never do it. But I'm gobsmacked it actually worked...

I made the Thai Green Chicken Curry from the official community... I tweaked it a little so the kids could eat it and because I like a thick curry... But it's amazing. And nommy! I would suggest thigh pieces over breast and we did breast, and whilst it's good breast would taste better. I hate dishes that require browning in the TMX it just doesn't taste good. But this curry tastes as good as if I'd done it in a pot! If you want my other tweaks let me know
