I made the Chicken in Yoghurt from the Indian cookbook the other night. We actually slow cooked it in the cast iron oven dish but everything else was done in TMX. So yummy and ridiculously easy.

I also made Palak Paneer. I made the palak from milk as per the TMX recipe which was easy. I ended up with a lot more whey than I expected - nearly 2 litres. Which makes sense given I used 2lt of milk, but I wasn't sure how much cheese you actually end up with.

I then tried to convert a recipe from an Indian cookbook to the TMX for the palak paneer. I steamed the spinach in the Varoma, then mixed everything in the TMX. It ended up a bit bland, but I didn't put chillis or garlic in it. I also didn't grind the cardamom at the beginning so it was just whole seeds. It was ok but not as good as in a restaurant.

We took it them friends who made other curries in their TMX followed by magic bean chocolate cake with chocolate ganache.

It's funny. Those friends said they'd never use it, it was too expensive, but came to a demo anyway. Bought it that day and now say it's changed their life.

I'm also researching making dog food in it. Doggie has itchy skin which I think is from additives. We use additive and preservative free dry food but I think the treats may have them. I figure I can easily make liver treats in the TMX and oven. If only we had a dehydrator too.....

I need you girls to post more. I love hearing about all the things you make. It keeps me inspired And my mojo ebbs and flows as of late.

I love indian food. They sound great!

Have you experimented with dehydrating in the oven at low temps? I'm so tempted to start playing as there are so many things I want to make atm.

Not yet, but a friend makes liver treats for her dogs that way so I figure I'll give it a try.

Maybe we need a BB Thermomix FB group so we can share photos too. I love the inspiration! :-)

L&B- i made meringue in it and like you the stiff peaks were not so stiff, so i transferred into my kitchen aid and gave it a good whip. Worked ok. But i don't think Tx is up to it! I made butter chicken last night. oh and i lurve snicker doodles! mmmmmmmm

I made the kids pancakes this morning. Not a lump to be seen.

I wish we had beetroot and apples here, i want that salad!

I still have to make snicker doodles. I keep forgetting about them!

Well I converted a triple-choc recipe to mix in the thermie, and used egg-replacer. Big flop. Oily mess. So I beat up 3 eggs, threw it all back in, mixed it for a while. Then a bit more. Then baked it again. And it looks ok!

Then I threw a cup of milk in and made myself a hot choc with the dregs of the mix. OMG yum. Hmm, might have to go for a run tomorrow!

I only need one. Or there'd be more washing up. And that's what I love about it as its so easy to clean. So there's no excuse for mess. I think if we had two DH would kill me coz I'd get lazy!

Making a sponge cake today with lemon curd custard filling and boysenberry Swiss meringue buttercream. Doing most of it in the KA but already done the custard. I find though with anything that's cooked and needs flour I use cornflour as it just doesn't cook out that raw flour taste. Wonder if I could make wheat cornflour out of plain flour. Shall google.

I just made the Carrot and Coriander soup from the EDC... I don't generally like coriander, but this soup was really yummy! I'm now about to make a silverbeet and feta pie (recipe I found online), all ready for tea tonight.

You girls are making my mouth water with all these yummy sweets!

Coincidentally, I 've just been looking at the 'Light as Air' sponge cake on the recipe community. It's GF too.
That filling sounds divine. Recipes please

Good planning JM. Do the other expats have TMX envy?

I want a second bowl for days I'm making curry or something milky which burns the bottom which I've done a few times recently.

My DH is waiting on a fairly decent lump sum back pay from his work and told me he will buy me a TMX when it comes through. I really need to get a demo but thought I'd ask here first. Is it do-able for feeding 8 people? 5 of which are teens/adults?

Absolutely! I saw a blog post on a family of 10 that use it daily. Thermoservers are life savours when you want to do multiple things.

When I bought mine, we heard the story of a large family who used one. She just used to put everything through twice and put it in the thermoserver to keep the first batch warm.

Second bowl & blade huh? I can't imagine I'd use that really - not when I can just spend a minute washing it. I must admit, I tend to only do one thing per meal though - whereas I know some folks who entertain more than us, making dips, then dinner, then dessert etc. I guess it would come in handy then.

Chorizo & capsicum risotto tonight. Love that one. And I want to try Quirky Jo's spelt scones tomorrow (I'm on spelt now instead of wheat-free - woo hoo, so I can experiment with yummy spelt dishes). Can't wait
