Hey everyone..... going ok here I guess. Having a fat day though. I just want my pre-IVF/ Pregnancy body back

I know it's not going to happen overnight but I used to be sooooo fit. This morning I took DD out for a long walk in the pram, it's really hot already in Brissy and I huffed and puffed my way up the hill to our house. There was a time when I wouldn't have even broken a sweat.

I guess I just need to try and not be so hard on myself but i am my own worst enemy, I can be so unkind to myself. I'd never treat anyone else this way

Oh well......... sorry for the downer folks.
Am going to make a huge pot of tomato and roast capsicum soup for DD and i to have today and tomorrow for lunches. Nice and healthy! The no dairy is going fine. Not missing it to be honest! I don't think I have a lot of dairy anyway.

Appletree, sorry to hear your little man is still struggling with the reflux, it took us a few attempts at stopping it before we could leave her off it completely.

Raupe, it's great to have you back.

ZF, good on you for getting on the bike!!

SS_Storm, good on you for getting the exercise in though!

PRMG, did you get the zumba workout done?

Pandora, well done on the loss!

Everyone else, keep up the good work - sorry I have to cut this short, DD has just woken up!

    Back to it!

    Thanks everyone!!

Appletree, sorry for your crappy day. Maybe you can take five minutes for yourself, make a nice cup of low fat hot chocolate, put some headphones on and try to unwind (make sure kids are safe first, of course!). It's hard, but without some "me" time you gonna go bananas!

MummaSue: Can you share the recipe? Sounds yummo!!

AFM: Sooo, I went for a walk today. I thought I'd put my pedometer on, just because I'm curious if I'm making more than 1000 steps... Well! You should've seen my face when it said 6852!!! Well, that can't be right!! Soo, it turns out that when I take a step the "after-jiggle" causes it to count three steps at once
Ooooh how embarrassing!!! I thought you might need a good laugh, so I thought I'd share!! Anyone know how to avoid that? These things where obviously not made for people that jiggle when they walk!!

i shouldn't laugh but it would have been priceless to see your reaction at the 6000+

No bike for me yet BUT i have vac'd the hall, both girls rooms, moved DD1's bed, tidied, swept the kitchen and chased my ferals EVERYWHERE, they haven't had a lseep yet so after lunch off to bed for them, more cleaning for me and then maybe 10min on the bike

MummaSue - I'm another who'd love that recipe. Yum!

Raupe - My counter has a sensitivity setting - if yours has one you might be able to adjust it to a less sensitive setting so it doesn't pick up your extra movements

Just finished a 30 minute buns, abs and thighs zumba workout. I didn't finish the whole disc, DD thought it would be fun to sit on me and when all of it is done on the floor, well, time to give up really!! It burned!!!!! After I posted this morning, I took my measurements. Last time I did it was September, and I've lost 4cms off bum, waist and boobs!!!! Now THAT made me feel good!! And the pants I've been trying to get into finally button up....they still don't fit quite well, but they button up!!! Got in the grocery shopping today too, but doubt I'll get in a walk. It's raining so hard here that I can't see out my windows.

That sounds like a nice recipe MS! How does your DD go eating it? DS is terrible with anything runny, it goes EVERYWHERE! Hardly any gets in his mouth.

Well, i am off to the gym for pilates and zumba now. I have no energy at all left, really can't be bothered but DF just made a big deal about how proud is of me blah blah blah, plus i have to pick up mum on the way as i have coerced her into going with me. She has just been diagnosed with diabetes and is at probably 10-15kgs lighter than me so it is a big reason i pushing myself exercise wise at the moment!

Mmm SOUP.. DP's not a fan of soup, really want to make Pumpkin and Spinach soup for the girls and I.. yum yum.

PRMG - nice work on the workout.. damn those kids.
I tried for 10min on the bike yesterday Z woke up then wouldn't leave me alone BUT i did manage 5 min then and about 10min last night.

appletree - it's good having someone else there, to keep you motivated and 'wanting' to go.

Am off for a walk today then story time, can't wait, then tonight i will try and get on the bike for a bit aswell.
Taking the exercise DVD back today.. watching the little oldies was NOT motivation AT ALL!

Yay ZF for getting on the bike! How did you find it??

I am REALLY struggling today! Its so much harder when its just DS and i at home, especially during his sleep times, all i want to do is pig out! So far today i have had 2x honey on wholemeal toast, a chicken and salad wrap, about 8 rice thins, 3 diet cokes and 3 or 4 christmas chocolates. I don't have my iphone at the moment so i have no idea how many cals that is yet, but i'm not even hungry and i just want to eat something! I do have a very yummy mango in the fridge for later so i guess i will have that next. I am doing a beef and vermicelli salad for tea tonight which should be a real treat! I am also planning on getting through the weekend without DF's eating rubbing off on me! I will just do my thing and not give in to him.

I really need to distract myself until DS wakes up. I COULD go and put away all the washing, but i really don't want too! I did a good workout this morning. All of my weights plus squats and fitball work, then i did 300 cals of cardio training, i was hoping to get to 500 but i ran out of time as spent too long chatting to the woman who runs the creche! No running today as my shins are hurting far too much. Hmmm, maybe i could go and do some zumba and get my cals burnt up a bit!

ZF- what exercise dvd are you planning on getting this week?

Ooh, so i think i am getting pretty close to achieving my first weight goal, and i intend on treating myself when i do! Any ideas on what with? I was kind of thinking about getting a heart rate monitor so i can see how many calories i am burning each day? Or maybe i will get a facial and massage? I actually bought myself something already which was supposed to be my reward, a pair of really expensive swimmers, but i had to wear them as my only other pair were maternity swimmers and it really wasn't a good look!

Raupe- i was thinking of you this morning! You said you were going to start running once you were sub 90kgs, is that right?

Appletree - i like the bike, i have a gorgeous view from our room so i can kind of zone out once the kids are in bed took it easy to start with and will just work my way up
I don't think there are any other DVD's at the library so i think i will just make the bike my new challenge

Had our walk this morning, stopped less than normal and then relaxed at the library, just vac'd out the car and worked up a sweat (man it's warm) , now going to hang and fold some washing and sort out this house

Finally got my scales working. Then i weighed myself with the scales sitting on the carpet and thought, 'whoa, all that walking is doing me good'. Then i moved the scales to the kitchen lino and weighed myself again. 'mmm, maybe i need to keep walking...' So, apparently digital scales on the carpet give a pleasant but not very accurate meaurement.

Well, today was a crappy food day. It was BIL's B-day and we had steak followed by chocolate cake. . The worst is that I have bad stomach pains now. My body isn't used to so much sugar . I'm feeling physically and emotionally crappy. BIL's parents haven seen DP and I since last year (when DP was 20kg heavier and I was 17kg heavier). The first thing they said was: Ohhh *Raupe's DP* you've lost heaps of weight!. Then they looked at me and switched topics..... They didn't even notice! The worst thing is that DP stopped "trying" to lose weight six months ago and I'm STILL working hard.... Yet he gets all the recognition and I get nothing. I feel miserable and crappy. It just feels like there is no point trying so hard when no one even notices.... It's my darn boobs. They are sooo big they make me look fat no matter what. I hate them and I hate my body. Sorry for the vent. I just feel poo.

Oh Raupe, what asses! I can't believe they would be so rude!! 17kgs is an absolutely HUGE weightloss and i think you are amazing! I have no idea what you looked like before, or even now, but i am sure there is a big difference. We are incredibly proud of you, don't worry about them, they don't even matter in the grand scheme of things! I do remember reading a blog a while back about someone else's weight loss and one of the entries was about when people start to notice (or are willing to say something!) and i remember thinking "whoah, thats a really long time!", so rest assured that its not just you!

I almost caved today and got Macca's on the way home! But i thought of my 'peeps' again and our weigh in tomorrow morning and decided to pull out one of DD's snacks instead Hooray! I have also managed not to eat like DF this weekend (though did have a meat pie yesterday which i am sure was at least 600 calories...) and i did an extra day at the gym so that is 6 days this week.

Any new challenges for the coming week? I think i am going to ban chocolate as i have been making christmas chocolates and eating far too many of them! Also, i want to make sure i hit a min of 500 calories of cardio workout each day at the gym. I have a later creche session booked this week so there is no excuse for not getting through the whole workout because i was running late. I am also going to be running on the treadmill this week, going back to week 1 of the couch to 5k running program, even though i was up to week 5, as i am really struggling switching from running outside to running on the treadmill for some reason.
