Ok so I am mostly better now....
I did the second run of the c25k this arvo............OMG! I nearly coughed up a lung, lol! And I cheated and didn't do one of the runs in the middle. But I just couldn't breathe and wasn't catching my breath with the walks! I guess because I have been sick and had a week off from doing anything, even walking, let alone running. I am going to start it again, so this would technically be run 1 of week 1. And I might take 1 1/2 weeks to do each section, rather than the week I'm supposed to! I really am that unfit!
Eating has been fairly good. Especially considering I have AF!! Lots of veggies crammed into everything. Probably still too much carbs, but at least it's not chocolate or anything!
And I have lost 300g this week, woohoo!! Don't think I will crack the 80kg mark by new years, it's only what 4 weeks away? That would be 5ish kg in 4 weeks......doable I guess, but not practical, especially over chrissy!

I hope everyone is going well!

    Well done Kellie

I havent been doing well. I think my asthma has started up again (I had it when I was a child) & when I was doing boxing with the PT last week I had problems breathing but also had the "wheezing" in my breathing so I have to try to get to the Drs & get a puffer again. I moved onto the weights & that wasnt as bad but boy my arms hurt the following day!

Last Monday (I always go to the gym Mon nights) I didnt have a PT session, I did the treadmill, crosstrainer & weights oh & I used the "medicine ball" laying down with knees up passing it across my body & back 60 times... I'm hoping it will help get my tummy down! I weighed myself while I was there... I've put weight on!!!

Today I went for a walk down the hill to the post box with DD & I had DS in one of those back pack thingys (geez he's getting heavy!) & walked back up the hill so I guess that counts for something.

I've now found a place to live & move in on the 12th Dec so thats a little bit of the stress gone....

I hope everyone else is doing better than me!

Hey , I am doing ok, I guess! I havent gained any!!!! Overall I have lost about 2 kgs and seem to be at a stand still. I have just done week 3 of the c25k program, which I am loving to bits. The only thing bad is my knees are starting to get sore. I was supposed to run today but they hurt and am not risking it with two kids aged 2.7 and 1! I am hoping that they will start to feel better in a few days and am going to start running around the boaring oval!!! Ok better go...good luck everyone

I'm not going so well lately. I have put on about 1/2kg. So not tragic, but not great. I haven't been exercising, not even walking and eating....well that's been out the window too! But back on the wagon today. I will run again tonight when it's a bit cooler. Supposed to be about 40 degrees again toDAY (it was about that yesterday too!). SOOO hot. But I can't keep on using that as an excuse. Gotta get back into it! SOOOO unmotivated.

Doing terribly. I have put on the weight I lost, maybe even a bit more. I had to change my ticker because it was depressing. My brother told me I had tuckshop granny arms yesterday. And that my arse was huge. Nice. True, but so not something to say to someone at christmas. Well not anytime, but that's what brothers do right?? Well mine do anyway! I'm trying to eat healthily today. I have done ok so far. Except DH brought home a bacon and egg muffin from maccas for breaky. But that's not too bad. I'm having left over ham and salad for lunch. I do really want to do this but just can't seem to get into the right headspace for any length of time. I don't have the staying power. I have been putting on the same 5ish kg's all year. I can't break that 80kg barrier. SUCKS! Big time.
I brought a book to write in. Goals and feelings and stuff to try to help myself. I so need to do this. I can't afford to put on more weight, and to not lose any from here. I am over weight. I will make myself sick if I keep on going as I am. I don't like how I am and need to change.

I know you've seen my recent pics on facebook so you know how big I am!!! I'm not happy either, but have set the goal for the new year - so I have till the new year to eat whatever I want, and THEN, exercise and new diet plan!!! I know I can do it, I lost 22kg after having DS, so its just fitting it into my busy life that will be the trouble

I'll support you if you support me!

I think my goal is to lose 40kg (i'm not brave enough to get on the scales at the moment, but I think 65kg is a good end point for me) and improve my core strength (then we might talk about having #4 )

Yeah, I'm much the same Mel. 65kg would be great. 60 would be my ultimate goal, but I was a steady 65kg before I started having kids. I need to strengthen my core too. Alot of my trouble is that I am so weak from my pg's. And I have just stopped being as active as I was. I need to start doing stuff again. Like walking instead of driving, running around with the kids more and just making an effort in general. I'm so lazy with an excuse for everything......

    It's a deal!

It's just really daunting to say I have 25-30kg's to lose! But it's one step at a time. And I have to do it!!

Im not doing too great either . I haven't put on all of the weight i lost but some of it. And my couch to 5km has gone terribly wrong. We went away for a few days and i couldn't run while we were away and i haven't been able to get back into it. When i run i feel terrible. I managed to do a 20 minute run before we went away. I was amazed, i have never and i mean never run that far. Maybe i have peaked and now my body has said no more! Bit sad about it. Maybe after christmas i can get back into it but i feel so terrible runnng when its hot. My eating has gone out the window too, no breakfast, so hungry by lunch that i eat everything in sight, blergh. I feel gross.

Hey all....I am still around. I havent lost any weight I dont think. I got myself pregnant again and then had a m/c so was taking it easy for the past few weeks. Have got back into the running though and am loving it. I did notice my knees were sore when i worked out I was pg.....and now they are not. My body shape has change a bit and I am starting to really like it. I am getting motivated to make it look even better! So I have just started week 5 of the c25k and am looking forward to the end of this week because theoretically I should be able to run for 20 minutes straight!!! Now that the festive season is over, I will also get back into great eating

Hi girls, sorry I havent been around!!!

I've also been doing terribly, like Kellie I also find an excuse atm to not be able to excersise. I still have my goal of about 15kgs to lose by my 30th bday in September. I know if I get serious about it I will be able to do it.

Hoping everyone else gets into better head space or finds their motivation again soon.

Good luck in the new year girls

Well, I weighed myself for the first time in a while yesterday and I'm ashamed to say I have piled on all the weight I lost and then some. In about a month I have put on 5kgs. I've hit 90kgs!! That's what I weighed at 8mths pg with DS!!! That's horrific! I've never been so heavy (well not when I not pg). OMG I so need to get control of myself! I do have AF, so I guess that would be affecting my weight a bit, but still, that's no excuse. I so have to do this now. So disgusted, upset and horrified with my lack of self control and respect....

Right ladies lets not dwell on what has happened and what we should have done. Its a new year so lets look to the future and control what is ahead of us. We all were doing really well so wont take us a long time to get back to our good habits. Lets set some goals and we can make each other accountable for them. Who is with me???

I am keen to lose some more weight. But I am mostly in the general thread. Also feel free to come across there as it is constantly new and different people and others are really welcome. It took me ages to get there thinking it was already kind of established but it isn't at all. Plus lots of new people from New Years all motivated and doing different things to achieve their goals.
I put some tips that I thought might help earlier in this thread but I think the number one thing for me is that I have a sport that I actually really really like. Anyway good luck everyone with the New Year! Here's to happier and healthier versions of us!

Kellie... hun, dont beat yourself up, Christmas is a terrible time to try to lose weight.... the festivity has passed now, none of us have excuses anymore. Start fresh hun. I believe you can do it. xoxo

Good luck everyone, I still havent jumped back on the wagon BUT I have gone cold turkey on my maltesers which I didnt think was possible!!! (mainly due to spending 2 nights in hospital due to my pancreas & not taking any risks to set it off again At least it kicked my butt into giving up those evil maltesers!) So I guess I've kind of started????

Ok, there seems to be a lot of debate over the Wii Fit and if it is a valid form of exercise. I got a Wii and Wii fit for christmas and I love it. Seeing that I am obese and have a really really long way to go, I feel like it is making a difference. I am going to incorporate it with going to the gym (which I havent done for a while now)

My question is, has any of you used the Wii fit and found it gets results? Oh and the Biggest Loser is bringing out a Wii game that uses the balance board... Should be interesting.

I have a Wii Fit but havent used it for about a year Its currently at XH's house as DD used the Wii at his place while staying there for a week over xmas. I will try to knuckle down once I set it up again & see if I get any progress.

I weighed myself at the gym tonight. I weight the same as my last visit except last visit I had no shoes on, this time I left my shoes on so I must be a little bit lighter... I should have taken the time & taken my shoes off but I had to get to the Drs Next week I'll weigh myself properly
