I went to the gym tonight & had a PT session. I had to sit down after 15 mins as I was about to throw up & couldn't go on any longer... how embarrassing!!!
Sorry no personals..... just too tired![]()
Kel- I have never really been a runner except when they made me at school, I always was amoungs the last! I suppose for me I am doing it coz its free and only takes about 30 minutes to do. I hate the thought of having to pay child care fees on top of a gym memebership especially since we arent loaded with $$. As for the colonic irrigation, I am hoping to have a good clean out because I suffered bad constipation when I was pg with Bec and post birth I got that very painful fissure. We are ttc so I am hoping a clean out will prevent some of these issues as well as make me regular. I read in another thread that a girl had it done and dropped a few kgs from her first session and am kind of thinking that will happen to me too (but definately not the main reason for it).
Kel...I think you should give the running a go....if i can do it, you can too![]()

LOL, good on you for going though.
I have started to add 2 x 12 (each) push ups, tricep dips and situps to my walking, as well as walking further. My chest, lower tummy and arms are killing me! I am soooo unfit!!
Eating has been good since yesterday, lol! I was really good yesterday without even trying but it may have been the 40 degree heat which made that easy. Mostly ate just salad and fruit all day. And I drank a tonne of water!
I hope everyone is going wellAnd if not, then just jump back on the wagon.....everyone falls off occaisionally.
Good work BreezeI cant believe you went to see a PT, I am sooo scared of PT's at the gym lol. Been keeping away from them. You will be amazed how quickly your fitness will increase, the hardest step is that first one.
Lilias: Good work on the eating. It really is easier in summer. I find i drink so much water and crave fresh fruit and veg over heavy meals. Im a major carbaholic but really dont want to eat carbs at the moment coz of the heat.
Minimatron: Im considering the colonic irrigation. Weirds me out a bit though lol. How are you going with the running program? I am up to week 3 and it has killed me. I ran for 3 minutes straight yesterday and was so proud of myself. I am sooo not a runner either but DH is and so im trying to become a runner so we can do it together. We have a 5km run booked in for 6 weeks time so i have to keep on track! Your right though it is so quick and easy. I do it when ds is in bed and its done and dusted quickly.
Well i weighed in today and unfortunately it was a gain. Had such a great start and now its creeping back on. I just dont get it. Its like my body just wants to be 77 kg and thats it. Not really happy about it today. Trying to remain positive though as the changes i am making are life changes but yeah, still a bit upset.
Isabel, I just started week 2 today and I am totally zonked. It was hard and breath taking and i thought my claf muscles were going to ball up and burst. I hope that in 2 days I will feel better about it. If by the end of this weeks challenge i am not running well I will just stay on week 2 for longer. As for the colonics...its not too bad, although I havent really told any one coz its a tad embarrasing...so i can tell everyone on here coz you cant see my face!!!
If i dont loose weight by running 3-4 times a week and doing water aerobics on tuesday nights, then I am going to get mad! OOOh i did notice though after the colonics that a lot of my celulite on the backs of my legs has gone....maybe it the running too, but looking loads smoother. I have another poo session tomorrow so will see how it all goes![]()
Minimatron: I haven't really felt pain in my legs yet which makes me think i dont push hard enough but i try and push harder and think i am going to faint but still no pain. Maybe my legs are stronger than i thought and my fitness needs to catch up. Im enjoying it though. Love that exhausted feeling after a run. When i did week 2 i didn't read the program again and went off memory and instead of doing 90sec run, 2 min walk i was doing 90 sec run, 1 minute walk. Woops! No wonder i was dying! This week has been ok, second 3 minute run is a killer but felt better on day 2 so maybe ill be able to move onto week 4. Dunno though week 4 seems like such a jump. Think that will be the hardest for me.
My legs are feeling more toned which i put down to the running. Also my arms are feeling more toned.
Hi Ladies,
I really hope you don't mind but I'd love to join in this thread!!! As you can see by my ticker, I have A LOT to lose, but it's to the point where I just have to do it. No more choices.
At this point, I am not able to conceive a baby, and at this rate, I'll end up dead before 40.
So, naturally I have to do this.
As humiliating as it is, I have started my blog as my weightloss diary. I have told the world in there just how much I weigh.
I hope to be seeing some really positive results really really soon.
I really look forward to talking with you all
Kimberley
You're more than welcome, Kimberly! The more the merrier! It's tough when you come to the realisation that you REALLY need to do something about your weight because it is a serious health concern huh? I have come to realise that I will just get sicker if I don't control myself now. I am taking it one tiny step at a time though. I'm not taking leaps or bounds more like teeny tiny mousy steps! I want to do this, I really NEED to do it, for me and my family. I am really unhappy in myself and my body and it is not helping me be a good mum, wife or person. I have noticed that since I have started exercising and losing weight, I have been happier, even though it's only 2 kgs that I've lost, I think it's my mind set that is helping more! Good luck, we're all in it with you!
I weighed in this morning for the first time in about 5 days and I have lost 100g. Better than nothing and considering I feel like had a terrible day yesterday, though thinking about it, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. I had a few naughty foods, icecream (a magnum), two shortbread bickies and 2 rows of chocolate. So not a great day but not as bad as I thought. Other than that I had heaps of fruit and veggies and drank alot of water. I was on the loo for half the day, lol!! But it was so hot here so it was easy to drink the 3ish liters of water I did.
I haven't walked for a few days cause DH has been working so there hasn't really been a time for me to go when it hasn't been 40+ degrees. And I can't take the kids out in this heat for a walk either. All excuses maybe, but I will not comprimise the kids health nor my own in this heat just to go for a walk! And I can't take two kids (2 1/2 and 15mths) to the pools on my own. Plus I wouldn't be swimming for exercise even if I could, it would just be mucking around with the monsters! Aaanyway! DH is home now for a few days so I should be able to do well with exercise at least with him home.
Hope you're all going well![]()
Welcome to all the newbiesThe more the merrier!!
I havent been back to the gym since I near died on the cross trainer last Mon nightI was going to go on Wed while DD was out with her Grandmother but I ended up going to a heap of unit inspections (moving house) & by the time I had finished with those DS wanted to go home to bed, if I had've taken him to the gym he would have been a nightmare in the creche being so tired
I will hopefully be getting to the gym this afternoon depending on how the kids are & if XH can watch them while I go. Another day of inspections tomorrow....
Well, I have had an ok weekend, though I've probably eaten more junk than I should have. But it's been soooo hot in Sydney the past week or so, 40+degrees out west for the past 4 days, and I have been having icecream, iced coffees (with cream and icecream!) and those icy drinks that are just full of sugar to keep cool. But as well as that, I have been having fruit galore and yummy cool salads with ham and chicken for dinner. And LOTS of water! I have kept up the walking most days too, going late, just before nightfall. The mornings are too hot, usually about 30ish by about 9am! And I just hate starting the day out sweaty! I haven't walked today, but it's been 'my' day today, DH took the kids out and I got to veg at home all day on my own. It was bliss. Plus according to the bureau of meteorology, it's still 36degrees here! And I feel like its about 100degrees, lol!! So no walk today. I am going to try to start the c25k tomorrow. I think this weather is supposed to be over tomorrow so I will be able to cope, lol! This week I have lost about 300g. Which is good considering the amount of no good foods I have eaten! This week I am going to try to focus on starting the c25k program and also eating better, not so much sugary junk!
How is everone else doing?
I'm doing really bad. Been having bad arguements with XDH & been quite stressful house hunting, I've turned to the maltesers for comfortHaven't taken the time to get to the gym since last Mon night either, I will be going again tomorrow night but once a week isnt enough for me....
I'll try to weigh myself while at the gym tomorrow to see if I've put more weight on![]()
OMG, first c25k run done tonight.....think I might die! Eating-atrocious, well maybe not THAT bad, but not good either. No fruit at all today. Lots of water though. And I ate a bag of mm's too. And some hot chips....yeah eating's been pretty atrocious probably was THAT bad!
Well done for doing the run, just need to get back on the wagon for the food!
I am doing ok but not really seeing much of a weight change. In saying that i feel energized and great. I have been doing the c25k run and water aerobics. I havent touched chocolate in ages.....just waiting for the kgs to fall away!
I really want to know more about the C25K program!!!
Where can I get info on it? I've heard a few people talking about it, but I'm really not sure of how the training system works.
As you can see from my ticker, I have a lot to lose, but I really want to get there.
Kimmi.... just google c2k5 and it will be there. From that web site you can download podcasts to your mp3 player for each week. Its great. Have one more run for week 2 and am starting week 3 by friday. I am definately not a runner, but this has got me really interested. Its hard to start with but by the end of week 1 i was getting into it....good luck![]()
Well, am I feeling it today! Not toooo bad, but I can feel it in my things (every muscle in them!) my butt and my sides (like side of my tummy and hips kind of). So that is all good, it will keep me going cause I now know I am working muscles in places that I need to get the chubb off! Eating has been ok today, just had a small peice of chocolate mud cake which was one of the kids at work birthday cake, so I couldn't say no!! My excuse anywayand it was only a small peice, half what everyone else was having.
Mel, maybe you're not seeing much weight change because you are exercise quite a bit. Your body is probably making muscles as you lose the fat, so no actual weight change, but size, kwim? I have noticed the past couple of days I seem to be smaller around my ribs, but haven't actually lost any weight for a week or so. I also just feel fitter, so I guess even if I don't lose more weight (though I know I will!) at least I can feel it is helping me feel better.
So, after doing well for a few days and starting the c25k program, I have gotten sick! All that motivation that I had mustered is GONE! I am waiting for af to turn up and I'm feeling miserable with a sold, a chest and ear infection and laringitis on top of that now! So the cravings have turned up big time. I did have a tuna salad for lunch and a home made, veggie-packed bolegnaise for dinner, But....
I gave in yesterday and had some chocolate, but only two lines of a large cadbury's block. Which is great for me, usually I could devour that in a night! But it just wasn't tasting nice. My taste buds are on stirke I think! But today I've had some triple choc cookies (about 3 pretty big cookies) and a donut. And if I could I'd be going down the shops to get some icecream to settle my itchy sore throat! And just for the yummyness of course, lol! But I can't go out cause the kids are sleeping and I am stuck at home alone. Again on a friday night, and tomorrow night too....ah the joys of DH working shifts...!
Hope everyone else is travelling well. I am looking at probably Sunday as being the day I will be well enough to get back to it, though I will try to do better with eating tomorrow.
