I second what Tracey says however I do Weight Watchers and I don't eat any of their food as it is full of chemical rubbish. If you are breastfeeding and hungry then eat. I eat every couple of hours but I have lost weight by planning what I will eat, writing a shopping list, buying it then having it prepared when you are hungry. It sounds hard to do when you have chn but it is worthwhile. It can be as easy as planning your snacks for the week. My example is: this week's snacks are honey and cottage cheese on crackers, nuts, low fat yoghurt and fruit. So they go on my shopping list and when I get home I spoon the yog into 200gram tubs, portion the nuts into a little plastic bag (6 bags of 15 nuts), wash the fruit and that's it. Then in between meals when I am hungry (read: always) I grab one of those snacks and a cuppa and that gets me to the next meal.
make sure you give yourself some time....
i get so hungry when bfing, but slowly and surely the weight will start to drop off. you can't rush these things...
Tracy I am quite small 4ft 11 inches I think the last time I checked just after I had Eireann I was 73kg ild have to check again Im a size 16 14 in some clothes more tops than trousers though my belly is very bad Ild say ill do some good with healthy eating and exercise but it will never be the same my skin has stretched to much and has not gone back its embarrising as ild say with out my hang down flap ild be a 12 to 14 now but ill feel much better getting in to shape.
I do think im eating the wrong foods I have cornflakes for breckfast then after my walk and feeding Eireann i have a sambo on brown bread may be a cup of tea and buiscuits
then I have lunch a sambo again with tomatoes or salad i was eating peanut butter but I find i eat to much so i stopped buying it. then after walk in the afternoon Ild have a snack before dinner crackers and the soft cheese onion and chive .I love having a big dinner and most night that would be it nothing else to eat on less im really hungry I still think im eating to much though.
I think i need to eat more protein like chicken,Fish, eggs and that
I got a weight wather magizine thinking it would give me a few recipie ideas and both thier points plan and the core were all thier branded food I dont like that they are to expensive and full of crap i want fresh food
Like you I am slightly vertically challenged (5ft) and have a 3 month old baby and loads of post pregnancy kilos! With less height, every kilo shows, there is no hiding a bit of extra weight!
It is soo hard to watch what you eat when you're hungry and bfing and I joined weight watchers 2 months ago but havent kept up with the meetings over Christmas and have added on another kilo!
I did find with WW that my portions were way too big and so i bought some kitchen scales and throw everything i eat for dinner onto them to regulate how much goes on the plate- my pasta portions were double what they should have been - i was eating as much as my hubby who is Irish and loves loads of potato and pasta and hates salads!!.
I think if you have cereal for brekky and a sambo for lunch you are eating well, maybe just try to eat smaller portions for dinner, and healthy snacks, bikkies are tempting but they dont keep me full for very long.
I have started the new year with a resolution to lose at least 10kg, maybe we could be weight loss buddies?! Anyone else out there under 5 feet tall?
had to laugh what you said about your Dh we are irish and my hubby calls salad rabbit food
Ive joined https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ml#post1584013 if you PM laura and ask can you join give her your weight and measurments and see what she says, but ild still like to be a weight loss buddy i need all the encourgement I can get now.
Im joing ww this thrusday in Caloundra find out exactly how much I can eat with BF
Im a lot heavier now, think from stress and christmas I weighed my self today and im in shock im probably the same now I was when i was due Eireann
we will get there its is not easy, oh and remember good things come in small parcels LOL

Hi there
I have no advice, just wanted you to know that you are not the only one!! I put on barely 5kilos with Charlotte, and thought it was ace. Then since I have had her and am still BF Iget sooo hungry, I eat all the time.
I am an emotional eater, and my my got sick in August and I have been living out of suitcases on the other side of the country, mum died 2 weeks ago so things have only been worse than ever! I am like you, short, lol 5'4" and have put on 25 kilos since having charlotte. I hate it.
So I am on my health kick, tryng to sort out what I am doing wrong and make more time for myself, exercise, etc...So if you need some moral support, I am a click away!
Hang in there hun, we are on the right track at least!
