JBM - wow I think I'd be ravenous after that, did it fill you up?

Sopdet - how are you going so far? Great goals you've got there

Astrid - oh it just bites when you're not feeling good, not getting rest - that's hard work I hope you feel a bit more energetic soon. I always find that a few weeks in I really start to notice an increase in my energy levels.

Tan - breaking the cycle and not looking back. Sooo important. how are you finding it?

Well I just tried a PT with my DH. We've never used a PT outside a gym setting before (she has a small home-based studio) and I thought the first session was great. Plus she really tailored to his limitations (still can't do a full range of stuff due to some residual vertigo issues). She also has us doing quite different things as our fitness levels are vastly different, but it worked really well and wasn't that obvious that we were different IYKWIM (which I think is good, I didn't want him to feel disheartened). I don't know if I'd do it on my own as I don't have a heap of weight to lose, but it's better value $-wise if we both go, and I figure some fitness is good, more is better right? . Am already seeing the scales moving in the right direction, yay, so hoping for a good loss on Sat morning

Today I'm planning to do a bike ride and tomorrow a good 5km run. Gotta keep my eating on track today as I already had a pretty high cal treat this morning.

AFM: well i am having another good day .. no mor bread. had rice with tuna and tomato salsa for lunch.mmmm. but now i am making monte carlos ... for the kids .... yeah right ...... who am i kidding .... lol
i actually weigh 90 kg and my next goal is 85 kg by the end of feb 2012.

On holidays posting on my phone sucks! Been ok til today and had blue cheese and chocolate plus a berry cider! I am going for a 5 km walk again tomorrow pushing 45 kgs of kid though! Am determined to keep plugging away!

On a side note coming down here has made DH and I about 98% sure we are going to move here!! Wooot! Very exciting times!

Bel- pt sounds great! I have Mon day yoga and am thinking I will join the YMCA where kids swim as it makes swimming 20% cheaper and is only around 34 a f/n for all facilities.

Astrid - oh no! Have you got something else to wear? You can do it, don't worry about yesterday, just dig in & focus on what you're gonna do/eat today.

AFM, weigh-in after 1 week... and 1kg lost. I'm stoked.

    How is everyone else going?

    Hey ladies.

After having my DD early I'm here to join in the weight loss and dieting.

I weighed 89kgs before delivery and now I'm hovering around 82kg mark. My first goal weight is 70kgs and I want to tone up also. My goal time frame is my birthday which is in June. So, after my c section hopefully its going to be realistic.

I just want to be healthier and happier for my girl. The challenge with this dieting and exercise routine is that my husband is home every night (he used to be fly in fly out worker) but now he works locally. And we are still travelling every day to hospital to see our daughter in the NICU. It's going to be hard, but I'm going to get there... (i hope) lol

*waves* so hi I'm going to read through the rest of the thread now to see where you're all at

    Hello Ladies,

Well im determined. To look amazing. To feel amazing. To make it so my DH cant keep his hot little hands off me LOL
Im so sick of sitting on my forever widening @rse and complaining that im fat and that i need to loose weight.
Thing is anyone who knows me doesnt think im "fat" YOU ALL HAVENT SEEN ME NEKKID!!!! lol...
Im at 58kg my realistic goal weight is 53kg... thats what i was at before i had DD.. i just want to be happy and fit into my clothes.

Thing is i dont want to have to go to the gym, im hoping to achieve all this from everyday living (going for walks, going to the beach and running around with DD and WATCHING WHAT I EAT and just being aware of what i eat - im a boredom eater )
any ideas ladies? on ways to just change your lifestyle instead of going to the gym.. because that cuts into my personal time, i work part time with a FIFO hubby so when im not at work i want to spending time with my family (like everyone else i know)

anyway DD is reading for bed, will come back at a later stage to read through everyones posts

    xox

Welcome Stevie!!!! I think one of the most important things is to simply make time to exercise every day. That could take whatever form you like but you have to make time every day - I need to do that too, just walking, running or playing around with the kids but I have to allocate my 30-1hr each day or else I get lazy!! As for eating, I am a boredom and unconscious eater too so I find that tracking in My Fitness Pal on my phone and computer really helps with what I am putting in my mouth each day because I have to think about it before I put it in my mouth!!

I know what you mean about weight (although I have to say I would LOVE to be 58kgs!!!) because people look at me and go - don't worry about the 2 kgs you have put on - for me it's HUGE and now it started creeping up again I am determined to get it down!

Well ladies - after a week away (which was AMAZING!) got home and weighed in today and am 600 grams down!! SO freaking excited! We ate a lot of crap, but I exercised every day - riding bikes with kids, walking and went for a run as well a few times!! I love the beach!!!! Even that small amount is a great motivation - thought I might get on today and have a gain!!!

Have a great week ladies!! Will be around a bit more now although am cutting my BB and computer time right down!

ETA: Hows my ticker - lost 0.6000000000000000000001 hahaha! Not sure how to fix it!!

hope you have good luck in your weight loss journey.

AFM: well i did my measurements today and now i have a starting point for weight loss.

i am 90 kg and want to lose 4 kg in the next 7 weeks... or lose 2 cm off my waist... which by the way is almost as big as my bust .... and i am wearing size "G "bra !!!!!!!!!!!!

but it is the first step forward and now i need to keep moving forward....

    one step at a time

JBM - Wow you are doing well - I ate heaps while b'fing but found my weight dropped to pre-pg weight within 2 weeks - just all the skin shifted and then 1 year after DS was born I gained an extra 5 kgs on top of that! Make sure you aren't cutting back too much as your bubby is still so little and you need the extra nutrients for b'feeding. Lots of water, fresh fruit and veggies hun!

Well AFM - DH is going on his diet that he goes on every few months to lose weight - I keep telling him that it's not a great idea as he cuts carbs completely - loses like 15 kgs and then yo-yos back up again a few months later but he won't listen. I wish he would and we could do a real lifestyle change together where we don't' cut anything completely but just eat really really well. Still need to get my hands on the CSIRO plan book. Might go to the library tomorrow and borrow it.

NO walk or exercise here today but I culled and cleaned and decluttered from 8-5 and didn't sit down once all down so I think it might be ok!! Also have only eaten around 800cals of my daily 1200 or so and all I can think about is the chocolate in my cupboard - I feel hungry and want something to eat but so determined to be good - damn you Christmas chocolate gifts!

    Back tomorrow chickelts.
