Ok so I've stopped having diet coke (yay me) but this morning i'm now weighing 3kg up (where I was only 2.5kg) at the start of this year! Rather than waiting for my official weigh in on sat, I'm going to pick up my game for the remainder of this week. I am quite simply eating too much, so as much as I said I'd focus on eating healthily, I think I need to just track my calories for a few days. Am walking tonight, will do weights & a run tomorrow and cycle Friday.

    Hello commitment, let's be friends

Hope everyone else has a great hump day (wicked weds tan?? You can do it!!!)

School isn't back yet thank goodness!!! I have been a shocker here too - nothing too bad but just grazing all day and picking at kids unfinished muffins and food - plus i made choc oat slice for MG and a meet up with a friend and ended up eating more than I should have!! I have been exercising every day though and last night I ate a golden daytime and burnt it off by running I have plateaued again - 1.2 kgs ain't going to cut it so I really need to do something drastic like cutting out carbs I think. I thought what I was eating was ok, clearly isn't.

Bel - I am cutting DC as well - it will be a very occasional treat not an every day drink, plus Im going to cut my coffee for my anxiety - not sure how I will go but will start by having one a day for a week and then change over to tea. If I cut it completely I end up with headaches that are AWFUL! I can't read back to the previous page so will go do that now and sending you all lots of motivational vibes!!

Hump day was yesterday I think because of the public holiday - We are having a bbq with friends over tomorrow going to make a few yummy salads and will snack on those instead of chips and bad stuff!

ZF how did you go at your DP's cousins the other night? Sounds like you had a good plan.

JBM ouch! wisdom teeth can be so painful! But on the bright side the mushy food might help with weight loss

Sas, I agree 20 mins in the gym is better than nothing! Is your street flooding? I'm on the sunny coast, losts of rain here too but no flooding for us.

belfie Well done giving up the aspartame That is some of the nastiest stuff on the planet! My postion sizes are too high so I'm simply eating too much too. I need to concentrate on that this week.

Tanstar I'm also trying to cut back carbs and trying to work on baking yummy treats that are more healthy. I have an almond meal bananna bread in the oven that is a couple of minutes off being ready YUM

AFM, I'm feeling somewhat disappointed with my efforts. I haven't been able to workout like I had hoped and my body is sore. I really need to pull my finger out with my food. Today will be a good day

Being quick, DD1 injured herself yesterday and is very sooky and also seems to (sorry TMI) have the runs, was up at 3am last night showering her and washing her sheets AND her blanket so have to get out and hang them out, get these kids dressed then go and pick something up for DP later in the day.

At the dinner i ended up having 3 slicves of pizza and some salad then a small slice of cheesecake afterwards BUT i am still impressed, normally even though i LOVE salad i would have ditched it all together and eaten say 4+ slices of pizza and THEN a huge slice of cheesecake plus whatever other dessert was there... so while i still ate badly i didn't go the whole hog, i enjoyed my night out and i don't feel too guilty about it.
I also had a glass of champagne but meh i'm ok with that.

Baked beans on toast i could do and the girls would prob like it too, i always think of baked beans as a bad thing

Well better go, got to stinky girls finishing their breakfast then am going to soak myself in a long hot shower to wake up and get with it.

    Hi everyone,

Well, the last few days have been so-so. Not great but not terrible with my eating. Still no exercise though. I have had a pretty terrible few days with the kids and DH on night shifts, plus the last two weeks, he had only had 2 days off in 15days, including a week long stint away from home (the first time in about 18mths that he's been away and the first time I have ever had the 3 kids on my own!). So I have been horrible tired and more than a little grumpy and emotional! Which makes me want to eat, so I'm kinda impressed that I resisted a huge blowout!

I just weighed myself and I'm 93.4kg, which is more than a kilo down from when I weighed myself about 3ish wks ago. It's not 100% accurate, since I've had breaky and 2 glasses of water, plus my boobies are full!! So I would likely be even less! So yay, without beign too strict or exercising, I have managed to lose a bit of weight! Mostly I have just been eating cerial for breaky, instead of buttery toast, and not eating unhealthy food, or as much/at all after dinner. And drinking lots of water. If I do have chocolate or something unhealthy I have a small serving, like a milky way instead of a whole block of chocolate!

DH has 3 days off now and his roster is more reasonable for the coming weeks so I should be able to sort my stuff out. I will also be trying to sort out a propper meal plan when the kids are back at preschool next week and I can think a thought through to the end! I have also signed up to the Special K personal plan thingo. It's pretty good! It will generate some meal plans and gives you tips and stuff for healthy weightloss. Haven't used it properly yet, but just having a browse through it looks good.

Sorry for no personals, there's too much to catch up on! But I have read all of your posts! Ok gotta go, baby is awake!

Hi... remember me . So, after posting in here a while back and losing weight I fell off the wagon in a big way... ended up putting it all on again and then some. But I'm back!

This time DH is on board with me, so I'm hoping we can motivate each other to keep going. Our plan of attack is to cut out all the junk we were eating, but allow ourselves one vice (soft drink for him, chocolate for me). I tried giving up everything last time, and it just doesn't work for me. We're also back to going on the exercise bike every night, and I'm going to try fitting in a few walks through the week also.

I'm pretty determined to do it this time. I will.

Well I had a much better day yesterday and didn't snack after dinner even though I had a friend over and have her something. I just said I'd had a huge dinner and was really full. Feeling better about being back on track already. didn't end up tracking my snack calories but know I ate sooo much better. Am going to focus on making yummy juices. Off too ILs today - always a good test, but I'm feeling really motivated to enjoy small amounts of good food. How is everyone else planning to get thru the bbqs?

Oh and my DH has lost 3kg this year. Yay! When I asked him why did he think I'd been struggling to get my head in the game he said he thought it was because I felt like I'd done it before and it should be easy - and of course as we all know, it isnt easy!

    Happy Australia day!!

How are we all going ladies, time for some personals

Belfie - well done on reissting after dinner hun, it's so hard when you have other people to cater for.
I'm glad your Dh is along for the ride with you and able to give you a little insight from how he see's things... you can do this hun and YOU WILL.

Tanstar - how did your run go hun, hope you didn't get burnt to a crisp, i don't know how you have the energy to run... i can't wait until i am at a fitness level that would allow that kind of exercise again.

Sterla - WB hun, you can do it, so glad your DH is there with you aswell, it makes things so much easier.

3LM - oh hun it's so hard when you have kids to juggle and your OH isn't there all the time, DP works long hours so i totally get you there, but it would suck if he had to go away.
Keep your chin up, 1kg down is GREAT, it's still DOWN remember.

LysnDan - hun your doing such an amazing job with all your going through, keep yourself refreshed as much as you can and tackle weight later on... lots of water remember no matter what.. bug

Hmmmmm i'm sure there are more people to catch up on.

Today i had some cereal for breaky (cheap version of sultana bran) with 1/2 banana then for lunch was some yoghurt, 1 slice rockmelon & a nectarine, this arvo i had a banana then now while cooking dinner have had 2 slices chicken loaf but for tea it's home made rissoles/burgers (diet mince, zucchini, carrot, apple, egg, onion - tiny bit of flower) but i browned them for a tiny bit in a TINY bit of butter now have them cooking in the oven on a rack covered with baking paper - so NO OIL and the fat runs AWAY FROM THE RISSOLE we are having that with salad

DP is really on board, he doesn't eat breakfast so i have gotten him to swap his morning MOTHER () for some UP AND GO and he's taking fruit and his own lunch (sandwiches, cruskits etc)

I think we are doing well, i am hoping to definitely reach my goal before my birthday and then afterwards i will set another 5kg then another, then another and I WILL GET THERE

Thanks for all the support ladies

Hi all!! Well I have had a pretty terrible day. Way too many biscuits, and not enough healthy food or water, and no exercise again. I have just been really lazy. All my fault, and I have been feeling just down and not in a good headspace all day, which I suppose is why I haven't eaten well. But tomorrow is a new day!

Sterla, welcome back lovely! I lost a bit of weight at the end of last year and have regained it and a little more too. Rather depressing, but hey, such is life. And it is so much easier having DH on board too! I do so much better whn I have my DH doing it with me. He encourages me and we eat the same stuff, yada yada. SO much easier!

ZF, losing weight is all about adjusting the usual stuff we do to be a bit healthier, so going to macca's and getting a better range of food is great!
Yay @ your loss too, you're goign great guns! It sounds like you and your DH are making some great positive changes.

Belfie, how did you go at the IL's? Yay for feeling better about yourself too, it always helps being in the right headspace and *thinking* you can. Right now for me it's a matter of fake it til I make it! Not in the entirely right space just yet. Hopefully it will come soon.

Hey there! You are all very inspiring! I also really appreciate that other people struggle to manage this as well. Trying to adjust to it being a permanent change too rather than quick fix....I have walked/jogged 3 x this week but no gym which is not great but kids not sleeping/work stress has gotten in the way. Having said that eating really well so that is a plus - also avoids me thinking I can have a treat but then overindulging! Will set my alarm for 5.30 and walk before work tomorrow.
