Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!
The 12wbt starts for me today and I'm making sure that I'm behaving. About to go and get Lunch sorted and make an early start on dinner.

I weigh in on Wednesdays and I'm hoping for a loss this week as I've been sitting at the same weight for at least 5 weeks now. It's so frustrating, especially when I'm still so big and have so much weight to lose.
Fingers crossed for a good result on Wednesday.

ZF congrats on your loss! Good luck getting those 2kgs off by your birthday. I'm sure you'll be able to do it.

Have a great week ladies! I'll pop back after my weigh in and let you know how I went.

Today's weigh in was great! I was 90.0kg exactly. I was less yesterday and Saturday, but I'm going off of today's weigh in. That was 1.2kg this past week. I'm glad to see what I can maintain with life going on around me. I hope to never be over 90.0kg again. Yay!!

    Hi again!

Well Done Christy!! I love reaching mini milestones. Keeps you on a high for days!

JBM I had a bit of a plateau for 4-5 weeks recently, and it was mainly because I wasn't eating correctly and not exercising enough. I don't really follow the whole carbs thing, although I know I don't have alot. Not sure what else you could do though.. sorry. Good luck for this week!

Hi everyone else! I hope you're having a great week!
AFM, I weighed in yesterday and finally the scales had moved. I lost 2kgs which I was pretty happy with. I'm hoping to at least repeat that next week by making sure I'm sticking to my 1200 cals and getting out and training lots. Hard in this nearly 40 degree weather, but I have to just suck it up.

I did a PT session in town on Tuesday. Kettlebells... yuck! We had to do a series of 12kg kettlebell swings (20...18...16........2) followed by a 100 metre sprint as fast as possible after each set. Was tough! We then had to do dead lifts with 16kg kettlebells, as many as possible as long as it took. I got to 41 before I could do no more. Was feeling it yesterday but a bit better today. I also did a really intense boxing session on Monday, had yesterday off and have a session booked in tonight which should be interesting. Friday I'm planning a walk/jog 10kms and Saturday is a bootcamp session in the morning. I normally play tennis on Saturdays aswell, but the season just finished so I'll have to crank out a run before I head out Sat night, or do something on Sunday instead. Will be interesting.

Anyway, enough from me. Have an awesome week ladies!! Lots of 'down scales' vibes to you all.

Hey everyone! I should really be joining in here...

I have been on the weight-loss train (again) for just over three weeks now and am going okay. Have lost roughly 3kg. I have cut out all junk food except chocolate (but have swapped to dark chocolate), and have been doing lots of exercise. I get on the exercise bike every night after the kids are in bed... at first I could only do 10 minutes, but now I tend to do 30 minutes or more. I've also been going for lots of walks pushing both kids in the pram. I'm feeling good, still very motivated. I have a lot to lose still (at least 30kg), but I'm keeping my eye on the prize. I've found a few things to be good for keeping me motivated: one, my grandmother is coming here for Christmas (she lives in Denmark) and hasn't seen me since before I even fell pregnant with DD, so I want to surprise her by looking fabulous... and two, I want to be able to wear a nice dress and look good for DH's Christmas dinner instead of being the fat, frumpy wife that usually attends.

It's hard work fitting the exercise in around the kids, but I'm making it work. Then when DD is older and I'm okay with being away from her for longer periods I think I might join a gym. I'm excited about losing weight this time. I'm really looking forward to shopping for nice clothes and feeling good about myself again .

nai: yeah i think that may be the cause, the plateau thing. so i did a 30 min walk this morn and really pushed myself. then i have just had a healthy mini pocket bread with salad for lunch. hoping i can break the cycle.
do you like PT ?. sounds like whatever you're doing is working. keep it up. congrats on your loss.

sterla: great job. yes it is hard fitting with kids but whatever you're doing is working so keep it up. good luck

AFM: did a 30 min walk this morning and healthy lunch. also trying to drink more water. i'm drinking heaps already but since i am breast feeding maybe i need EVEN more ??!!

Yeah... I don't think much is moving this week, btu I have slacked off the past 2 days of exercise... I find it impossible to work a 9 hour day and get home and then exercise... its too hard. I walk 1km to the bus in the morning and 1km home after work and that is about all I do.

I took my before pics last night. We have to take a before shot, full body length in our undies at the start of each round. I didn't cry... It wasn't as scary as that first one, but it's still nothing amazing.
I've shown a few people. I guess I'm trying to own what I've done, and make myself accountable to many people to continue and shed the kgs. It's scary to think about who will see it, but I do it for those who want to see it, who appreciate it and who will get some inspiration from it.

UM.... I just posted pics of myself in my underwear on my blog. And I'm 131kgs. :S I'm not sure if I will keep them up or not.

Maybe I should go and work out now...

JBM:I remember being insanely thirsty when I was newly breastfeeding (both times), and then adding exercise on top of that - you'd definitely be thirsty! Drinking heaps of water is supposed to be great for losing weight, I've been trying to drink a lot too.

christy: I don't think I would have any energy left at all after working 9 hours - but still, walking those couple of kilometres is better than nothing.

Niadalla: I had a quick look - and wow, the difference between that first shot and the second is amazing - well done! You should be proud of what you've achieved. I liked your FB page too btw .

AFM: I have been continuing with my aim of getting lots of exercise in - I did a walk with a friend this morning (with all the kids in tow), and then did around 30 minutes on the bike tonight. It's so tricky doing the bike of an evening, because DD still wakes so constantly - so I often have to do my bike ride in a couple of goes (and go into settle DD all gross and sweaty).
    Speaking of...

Away for the weekend before my b'day. Naughty foods will be consumed but we bought salad & chicken for tea, fruit and water bottles.
    Eek wish me luck.

    Ooooo can i please join?

I am almost finished week 3 of my journey to the new me
To date i have lost 2.9kgs, next weigh in is on Monday

I have taken out bread and pasta from my diet and only drink water, with 1 tea or coffee a day. Am eating alot more salads and really enjoying it.

I have been exercising, have been on my exercise bike, running, and doing push up and sit ups every day. However have somehow hurt my foot and can hardly walk on it, so i haven't been running

Im really worried about this weeks weigh in as i have been a bit naughty food wise, and with no running i am doubting any weight loss and extremely worried about a gain!

I go back to uni also on monday so i will be limited in time as to how much exercise i can do, that too is really worrying me.

Anyways would be good to join to have people kick me in the butt on days i feel like slacking off, this will keep me accountable

    Welcome hj1981!
Congratulations on your loss so far! You sound like you are certainly on the right track.
This group has been great so far. Anything that keeps you accountable is a huge help in your weight loss journey. I love the fact that I have so many people watching my every move all the time. It means I have to deliver results. Good luck with your weigh in this week!

Thanks for your comments ladies. It was a big step putting those on, but I figure why the heck not. It's going to really give me the kick up the butt I need to shift the rest of this weight.''

Sterla, well done on the exercise. I don't know how you can stay on the bike.... the seats absolutely kill my backside after only a few minutes! I have done a spin class and my backside was sore for a good 4 days after. It was wacked!

Today - I'm SO SO SO sore. I did my 1km time trial yesterday and in 5 months I've taken 5 minutes off my time. I then did back to back bootcamp sessions. I am feeling it today!! haha
I might go for a nice casual walk later to try and get the muscles moving a little. Will see how I'm feeling.

Niadalla - thanks for the welcome and i have to say you are amazing, i had a look at your blog and you are doing so well, and i think your going to be an inspiration to many myself included
and woot woot on taking 5mins of your time trial!!!!!!!

I saw a physio yesterday (my neighbour is a physio) and i have sprained some tendons in my foot, so have been told to stay off it for few day, no biking for a couple of days and no running for a few weeks so my weigh in tomorrow is not looking good! and to make matters worse i had KFC for lunch today Somebody rouse on me now and tell me how stupid that was!

Today has been so hard to eat well - I spent the day making a double layer ganache filled mud cake for my brother's engagement dinner - so I have been handling and smelling chocolate all day. I taste tested much more than was necessary! I'm not going to beat myself up though - got to keep my eye on the long term goals.
