Well done everyone on the losses! Stressed out a bit here but trying to stick to the plan. Here's to a better week.
I have realised how much I use food as a crutch - bit confronting really. xxxxx
Sorry slack here, but did have a good excuse
Got through to Thursday with a 800gram loss since Monday morning. but..............that was wiped by a 1.4kg gain. Oh well. What can I expect after Beat Box and many bottles of wine, then the recovery HJ's. Could be really bummed about it, but that type of thing is a rarity for me these days, so I am just copping it and moving on.
Not fully following the 1MKC menu this week. Still had a heap of veg left over from last week, plus our veggie patch is just groaning. So being inspired by week 4, plus looking back to the other weeks for ideas.
Yah for everybody's losses this week. For those that gained, oh well, this week is a clean slate.
2.1kg loss this week, should have been more but I have the same excuse as Astrid (minus the HJ)
10kgs until I reach goal 1.
Good to see you still lost Sopdet!
Well a 500g loss in one day. So shows the gain was not all fat, I would say some of it was fluid.
Think I might go with weighing every day or two, just mainly so I can see the effect of what certain days have on me. It was good seeing last week that I was tracking for a reasonable loss beore the weekends shenanigans.
Hi all, congrats to all of you for losing weight, staying on track and motivated and eating well!
I have been doing really well the past few days. Eating healthily and exercising a little, mostly with incidental stuff, like doing squats while waiting for the kettle to boil, or doing heavy cleaning like sweeping the outdoors, gardening, and wiping walls down! But still it's more than I usually do. And making sure I drink plenty too. Today I went for a BIG walk to a friends house, about 45mins all up, puching my 3 1/2yr old int he pram and carrying my 13mth old in my mei tai! It was a challenge, and now I am buggered, but I am proud of my effort. I am really trying to be mindful of what I eat and do, and to do more simple incidental stuff, as well as the bigger things like walking, running or swimming.
Hi ladies!!
Congrats on your losses! Fantastic!! My weigh in day is Wednesdays, so fingers crossed the scales go down (although I'm not holding out much hope).
Today has been crazy. With all the standard kinder and childcare running around, groceries, dropping parts of for hubby and then picking the kids up, I managed a 4km walk followed by an hour bootcamp session. Burnt a crud load of cals which was awesome. I've got netball training tomorrow night which should be very interesting indeed after allt he hill runs we did today, but I've just got to suck it up and get on with it.
My only issue is my eating at the moment. I feel like it's pretty perfect most of the time, but I am having little slip-ups most days. It's nothing major, maybe a cupcake? But it seems to be enough to really stack no the weight. I know I haven't been drinking enough water so no doubt that's really affecting me aswell. I just struggled to really get on the straight and narrow after Christmas etc. It's nearly the end of Feb and I'm STILL struggling!! *smacks forehead*.
Anyway, I've vowed to myself today to keep it clean. I've got a committee meeting tonight which will be interesting... no doubt there'll be all the yucky stuff on the table, but I'll push through.
Fingers crossed for a loss on the scales tomorrow.
Getting back into the swing of things after a few days falling off the wagon, my weigh in today puts me at a total of 2kg lost and another 8kg or so to go.
I'm so disappointed. Only 300 grams lost this week.
I've worked SO hard training wise and my eating has been the best it has all year and I Lose less than I did last week. I should be dropping huge numbers - 2kgs+ a week, but I'm not and it's starting to really do my head in.
I have a feeling I might have some water retention (I haven't been drinking anywhere near enough) and I also have DOMS pain from yesterday.
Fingers crossed next week is kinder to me.
Niadalla- your body is built to slow your weightloss. If you are doing all the right things then maybe mix it up a bit and keep at it. Are you hungry?
Google Fat Brake - some interesting ideas there. You are doing it - just sometimes progress is not as inspiring as we'd like. xxx
Niadalla,
It's weird but this is something that comes up over and over again on my lapband forum - for no explicable reason, weight loss suddenly stops or you plateau. It's the most demotivating thing ever and it's when a lot of people fall off the wagon.
Don't. It's something that just happens. Keep at it and in a few weeks, you will find it will start moving again.
Also make sure you're not eating wayyyy less than 1200 calories nett. if you are still plateaued in a few weeks, up the intake a bit.
(btw I needed to read this. Today, I couldn't fit into a dress I bought when my band was still working, and I thought I'd been so good this week with watching what I ate and exercise. Felt completely bummed. My scales say my weight hasn't changed but it was so disheartening not being able to zip up that dress! Now giving you some advice, Niadalla, it occurs to me I should take some of my own!)
Hi all!
I am doing ok, though last nght and this morning haven't been so great. One of my pit falls, and something I really need to put alot of effort into is when DH is on nightshifts. I tend to eat, because it's quiet, I'm bored or lonely, and I can enjoy eating something without anyone bothering me. But I tend to eat junk, and too much of it, besides the fact, I'm not usually hungry and I'm just eating because it's quiet, I'm lonely or bored and well, it's something to do, comfort ect...all of that emotion crap that enters into eating for me. And last night I was making the kids lunches and just eating food I didn't need (especially those 7 homemade chocolate chip piklets and 5 crackers with cheese...). Today is another thing I need to deal with, Thurdays being my 'day off' meaning all of my children go to day care or preschool so I have 6-7 hours of uninterrupted me time. And usually some of that time is spent eating something indulgent. This morning it was breaky out with my man. Which I don't mind, DJ and I rarely get time out alone, and if it were only this indulgence I've had this week, it would be ok, but since I had a terrible night last night, well, I should have not indulged today. I am all for balance and indulgence sometimes, but the reason why I am fat is because I indulge way too much! SO working on control and finding other ways to spend my alone time and different ways to indulge myself.
BUT on the positive side of things, I have exercised to being tired 2 out of 3 days and done alot more incidental stuff through out the day. I've also eaten really well and drank LOTS of water. I weighed myself yesterday morning after breaky (before afore mentioned blow out!) and I had lost 800g in 3 days, and that was after eating breakfast, and having drank about 500mls of water!! Though I seriously doubt it's still that much since my 'mishaps' lol! But I am not going to dwell on it all anymore and I will jsut get on with what I need to. I am going out to do some gardening today, so that will be my exercise today, a little bit of a rest for my achey, unused, old muscles, but still some activity.
Great loss there 3LM.The kid food and boredom can be a killer. I do love a bit of solo chocolate (in fact I just treated myself to 1 square of Lindt
)
Well, I am another 800grams down. So pretty much lost the girlie weekend gain, so should track well for a loss for Monday. Have a couple of BBQs to deal with, but I think I can handle those. Lots of salad, no bread, no alcohol, go for the better cuts of meat.
Still sucking at exercise. Should do some this arvo, but I am in desperate need of a nap.
Picked up a couple of work dresses today. One fits very well (and it should as it is just the different colour/pattern to one I have) and the other is just about there. A kilo or two and maybe a different bra to get the right line and it will be sweetGotta love a discount rack.
I had my monthly weigh in today - I have lost 5kg!A lot of hard work has gone into that mind you. Now it's just a matter of keeping up with it - that has been my problem in the past, but I'm determined to get it right this time.
Guess I should join in here... I've decided that once DD is 6 weeks (which is on Sunday ((!!)) ) I'm gonna get into gear and start attempting to fit into my work pants again
I currently don't know what I'm weighing, but would like to get to the point where I fit into my size 12 clothes again
*Edit*
I'm going to be using my Wii Fit Plus and the treadmill we've got seeing the poor thing gets neglected.
I did my 'weight check' on the Wii Fit and it said I was 82kgs. So my first aim is to lose 5 kgs in 2 months. I know it seems like a long goal for such a small weight loss but I've got to factor in so much stuff.
