Morning my healthy and fit girlies

krysalyss I have a Body Compositioin Monitor that cost about $500, dh got it for mr for my 30th birthday... It's wonderful! it measures how much fluid, fat & muscle is in each limb and the abdomen so when the scales move (or don't) you know if it's becuase you've gained muscle, which is heavier or if you are retaining fluid etc.... The BCM also tells you how may calories you are burning which tells you your metabolic age And Snugglybean I loved krysalyss myth busting with the vego skinny thing I am not tooooooo bad but I don't really come across tooooo many skinny vegos, I find that most eat too many carbs unless they are actively trying to increase/add/get enough protein iykwim... I have never read skinny b!tch, is it good?

I'm looking forward to my workout today and cooking up some meals for the freezer on the weekend, can't wait for Monday (I really hope I have had a BIG loss of body fat & I hope the cm's have gone down)... I'm also looking forward to seeing the OB Wed and strangely Im looking forward to the D&C Friday if I need one, I just want to all over with, then to recover, then to have a baby and be SLIM & HEALTHY when I get pregnant, which looks like a real posibility if I have another 8-10 weeks of counting calories & workingout YAY... I seriously can't belive I am kinda excited about not being pregant and I'm excited about loosing weight... Perhaps that is what my brain is telling myself to keep me sain (snugglybean I think you can relate to this )

well I'm at work so gotta go!

"news flash".... "BREAK THROUGH, BREAK THROUGH"

    Hello again

I was just thinking of what I am going to do today and I'm going to do another workout and go through my clothes and put them into sizes, I have a range from size 10, 12, 14 and I got some size 16 pants a month or so ago when my weight went up because I didn't fit into anything else! I figure this will motivate me because I will see that I have some nice things to wear when I shrink some more hehehe... It's funny that there is a weird part of my brain that used to think that if I lost weight I wouldn't be able to wear the nice clothes that I have now... AND A LIGHT BULB JUST WENT OFF IN MY HEAD! I GOT THAT BELIEF FROM MY MOTHER!!!!!!! I used to say to her when I was a child "why don't you loose weight" and she would say that she would have to buy new clothes! You have no idea of how much of a break through that is to finally figure that out! It also helps me to think that it doesn't matter if I don't wear the clothes I fit into now because when I am pregnant I will wear them again so it's not a complete waste...... People are 'strange creatures' Or maybe just I am Seriously though it really is hard to figure out what little thought patters are subconciously sabotaging weight loss efforts and I am so happy to have figured this one out!

Cherished - I hear you on the clothes thing! When I first lost a bit, I found it was so expensive to go out and buy new clothes, especially since my plan was that I would be too skinny for them not long after, and it spawned my greatest love - OP SHOPPING!
You pay $8.50 for a pair of pants (OK, requires some time investment) so it doesn't matter what you do to them, and if you only wear them for six weeks, well, who cares? I have got compliments on every single pair of op shop pants I have ever bought, because they are better quality than I could afford to buy new, and I only buy pants that fit perfectly, so they always look amazing

Ammaki - I have an arsenal of bikes at my house, and am bidding on a new one on ebay (yaaaay!) so you could always come up here for a burn if you felt like it.

And, while talking of all things Brisbane, is anyone keen on doing the Bridge to Brisbane 5km run? I have decided I'm doing it. Training starts this week - eeep!

"Yo snuggly" .... Ok my home girl thing doesn't really work I used to love op shopping when I lived in Vic (and was skinny) I found that I could pull of some funky items way better than I could now (it's funny that the opposite in weight created your love of op shopping) I have looked at the op shops around Noosa several times over the years but they are way too expensive! You can honestly buy cheaper clothes at the Maroochydore plaza Where is the op shopping region around Brissy?

Oliver Baker Yeah adding berries & banana etc are wonderful to add natural flavours to the whey, I love adding fresh fruit and sprouts or leafy greens to my smoothies what are your weight loss goals? Have you lost much using protein powders? I find I use them not 'loose weight' as such but to keep my protein intake up being vegetarian.

Hey after my excitement today being my Monday weigh day, I was wondering what day of the week you guys weigh yourself (if you have a regular day?)

Ammaki - I am fit but have never run before. I used to runa little bit when I lived near the beach, but only for like 10 mins at a time. So you mightn't be holding me back at all! (on the bike you totally would, but I'm just happy to see more people on two wheels)

Cherizzled - I have had luck at the local op shops here, around the Gabba. Generally the posher sort of suburbs have the better clothes, I reckon, as posher folk throw their clothes out in better condition. I also find i buy dresses that I need to be skinny to wear, and they help to keep me motivated.

Hmmm... not he best day today. I did my 30km bike, but stopped at Mrs Flannerys on the way home to get some stuff, and chucked in a little bag of vege chips Rest of the day pretty good - still drinking herbal tea like it's going out of fashion.

    Hey Cherished1.
I havnt yet tried leafy greens in my smoothies... by leafy greens, do you mean mint etc? It sounds good. Basically my weight lose goal was to drop 15 kg, and so far I have lost 5 which im really happy with. I found that if I had one of theses shakes before meals, I would feel full and satisfied, and i'd still be getting good nutrition. So that combined with my early morning jogs and boxing, the weight is practically falling off. And to answer your question on the day of the week I way my self, I always way myself on Sunday, because thats my day of rest when im relaxed and not training.
Its defiantly a good idea that your keeping your protein intake up through drinking the shakes. How ever, the IsoWhey protein bars are really good as well, and there easier to take (you can eat it when ever with out going to the hassle of mixing it all together) theres like 4 different flavours, I usually get the vanilla yoghurt and apricot, and eat it on the way to work in the morning. Anyway, keep up the good work
