Went back to a pump class today. I'm easing back into the gym after having too much of a break while changing jobs and dealing with my stupid thyroid (which is still going on by the way). Gonna be sore tomorrow but will try to make an effort to go to Body Balance. The stretching will be great after working hard in pump.

MG - thanks for asking! DH put the bike together today. I haven't gotten on it yet, but will try it out later... he's really impressed with the calorie burn counter!

MG - sounds like you're improving with your injury. I know what you mean about feeling like you need to run! I hope it felt good and there's no long term damage... I'd say give this new PT a go... I like the sounds of involving DD in your sessions! What a great learning tool for her!

DB - the stupid Thyroid thing will go on for a while.. it's hereditary in my family so I'm bound to get it (usually onsets with Menopause ) so I sympathise!

Went for a good walk tonight - tried to keep the pace up the whole time and it felt invigorating! Will try the bike after just to see how it feels. The gel seatcover we had for our old one won't fit on this one so I hope the seat is ok...

Winter where are you ??? Have you been keeping up the boxing classes??

    Everyone else: Keep it up!!

    Update: This bike ROCKS!!

I did approx 6 minutes, burned 21 calories, travelled 2 kms at an average speed of 19 kph and kept my heartrate up (122??).

    And the seat was good!

That was AWESOME!! Whoooo hooo Go Nettie, Go Nettie, Go Nettie!!

    LOL!

Nettie - you're making me very proud hun!! Well done to you !!! I am sure we can work out something like a program to get you sorted, but sounds like you're doing pretty well thus far eh? Be proud!

Danni - how did you find Pump and Balance?

MG - You ran hun....How did you pull up 24 hrs afterwards? I read your FB status about that PT person who approached you. It could be a good sign, someone specialising in injuries. I think its time for a new PT. I'm not happy with what you've told me about D and A I'm a bit so so on...OR.....what do I have to do to talk you into doing a group fitness class - low impact? I honestly think it may be a welcome change for you hun .

Eluned - I understand about that pelvic pain. It is horrible ain't it?

Winter - you go girl, thats the way hun!! Have you gone back to do the class again? How is the weightloss travelling?

Heather - I love those words you use most of all....pump, attack, combat....Have you tried RPM yet?

    Nettie - woot!! well done

MG - how are you feeling after the run? I did a little jog today when I was out on my walk. It was very short, about 10 metres, downhill and I was trying to keep up with the pram lol...Physio has been great, no need for any more sessions unless I feel I need it. My pelvis is still achy, mainly at night but it has improved heaps just from doing a few stretches and exercises and getting out walking. I got on the Xtrainer yesterday and managed 10 minutes before DS started trying to climb on with me and DD started crying! Tomorrow, I'll be walking to playgroup, it's a 3.5km round trip. Going to try and get faster at them and start walking longer.

I was terrible over Easter with the chocolate. Ate toooo much chocolate and sweets All the chocolate we have given, I've put out of sight and easy reach and told DH I'm not to open it at all. Working so far. He was eating some Lindt balls and I didn't even try and pinch one off him! I just keep telling myself it's all evil. I just can't stop at one so it has to be cold turkey for me.

I've been naughty and just lurking here for awhile.... I've still been using my pedometer ... except on weekends because DS seems to think it would be a great thing to chew on instead of having a BF .. but when at school I've been getting over 10 000 steps. Hadn't put it on until today for the school holidays - no CC for DS so no pedometer Have put it on today (DS at CC) - should be interesting reading at the end of the day

Am currently sitting somewhere between .5 and 1 kg over pre DS weight (it's hovering there over the past week; mind you there was a bit of choc involved so that it went closer to the 1kg mark than the .5kg ) and he's 9 months now so feeling pretty good about getting that close to losing the baby weight.

    Hi Girls,

Leesa - I was actually pretty good post run! I was a bit achey on Monday but that was probably all the walking I did Sun and Mon and lifting DD. I was really surprised! I know you want me to ditch D (but I caaaaaaaannnnnnnnn'ttttttttttt... yet ) and I am leaning towards ditching A... I have a session with him in an hour... Group fitness? I'm considering it still but I need to work out a few things. And I need somoene to watch me and make sure I have correct technique first... That's what I'm worried about. In PT it's 1:1 and if I stuff it, I can be corrected right away. In a group, it may go unnoticed and not as likely to be corrected - am I making sense? How are you going hon? Know you're always on my mind during this difficult time.

Eluned - well done on your efforts hon!!!! An well done on the xtrainer! I'm very exited about your progress!

Leck - well done on your weightloss!!!!!!

AFM - not much new. Did a home session last night. Struggled with the cardio but loved my prone hold! I have PT tonight with A. I am not looking forward to it because I am so tired!

OH! Know how I got stopped in plaza the other day by another trainer? Well, I entered a comp to win free sessions and "won" 12 free sessions! now got to decide if I want them or not! Ok, gotta go get ready for PT.

P.S. Also bad on choc front here. EVIL FOOD! Got to get it out of the house! NO MORE CHOC IN THIS HOUSE!

MG, that's what I tell myself too, except my way to get it all out of the house is to eat it!

I watched TBL last night. They started the marathon. It got me thinking that if they can do that, then there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to, so a marathon is on my "things I want to do one day" list

Eluned...I was just thinking today I could not do that!! That's a fantastic goal (TBL marathon)

Nettie: Woo Hoo....love the sound of your bike! Goooooooooo Nettie

MG: I like your work ethic, well done on kicking A at the interview. If you need some inspiration other than Leesa to do a group fitness class...I love them. I love the fact they have low and high impact options and the trainer will encourage you if you are fit to go hard and if you have an injury or new to the class take the low option. No one judges anyone else in these classes. I hope you are feeling better, you sound like your pain threshold is very high with the excersise you do, you must be working through the pain..be careful

Leesa: Thanks for popping in, you really are an amazing and giving person. I have done RPM before, it was before Tess so will get back into that or spin again.

leckert: Fantastic on getting back to where you began.

daniellabella: How did you pull up after Pump, did you manage to make the body balance? I have done Pilates, not body balance, what's it like?

Mmmmm Easter! Didn't over do it too badly. I did Combat on Wednesday (man this girl rocks who takes the class!) and came home and ate a whole chocolate bilby Then promptly put all the rest of the easter stash in the bin! Including the boys
So yeah, Combat on Wednesday and she throws in cardio in the middle of it, has us sprinting and do those really big knee lifts for those who can.
I am going out on Saturday night and It's going to be a late one so I will either do Thump or RPM on Saturday AM, just not sure which one yet So no Attack on Sunday. Then it's back to Combat on Wednesday then Attack again Sunday or Thump or RPM on Saturday...decisions, decisions!

Hope everyone else is enjoying the buzz of excersise.

I'm with you Eluned, if TBL can do it, then I need to reassess my fitness goals and I'm starting by signing up for 10km instead of the 3.5km I had planned to do in a fun run at the end of May. They made it look easy. Wish I could train all day, every day for 3 months, I would love that opportunity. But I'm not putting on 100kg to get it!

Everyone is going so well here, its great to come back from holidays (yes, WaaaaaY toooo many easter eggs here too! ) and see how much everyone has been doing. So inspiring!

CRAP. Ant has a parenting issue (single parent) impacting on his availability. I totally get his priorities... but it's making it hard for me to train! It's ok for those who can lock in set times each week... but for people like me who do shift work it is just bloody impossible! He wants to drop Saturday's (not surprised). I'm really stressing. I don't know what to do. He DOES know what he's talking about with rehab and I NEED rehab... but I don't think I can do it with him any more And I'm not too keen on trialling this place offering me free sessions... I just don't want to risk any more new trainers. I have asked D if he can do rehab - waiting for reply. Otherwise, I'm thinking of chucking this whole thing in and just exercising at home. But I LOVE PT. I NEED PT. This suxs!

Please give this 'free trial' trainer out MG, come on....even if its just one or two sessions...for me ?

Winter - I'm so stoked to hear of your fun run....would love to be there right alongside you doing it too!

Heather - change it up a bit and give RPM a crack ...

Winter, that's awesome you are going for the 10km instead! I was thinking earlier I might aim to do the 10km City to Surf. That's in August which should give me plenty of time!

I'm so unfit, although getting better. I did my usual walk to and from playgroup in 20 minutes. I was so slow only a few weeks ago, taking 30 minutes. Mind you, this also whilst pushing a 10kg pram with a 12.5kg toddler and a 5kg 3 month old

MG, I agree with leesa to give the free trial a go...you never know it could work out for you.

Oh 12km! Even better! I did the 4km walk a few years ago when I was still working. My work sponsored everyone who went in it and we got free t-shirts too lol

Ahhhh Leessa...yep I did RPM! I really enjoyed it, haven't done it since before Tess was born. I had done a Spin class since she was born.
This was great. I think I might have to reconsider my weekends and do Sat and Sun sessions?

MG: How are you? How is your shoulder????

    Have a great weekend everyone.
